I was prescribed Stimvastatin 3 years ago along with my diabetes medication. I was warned of the side-effects but want aware of the long term effects. Recently I became more and more forgetful; can't quite grasp words on the corner of my brain. Can't even call out my kids' names correctly nor remember what I did yesterday or ate this morning. Then I was diagnosed with frozen shoulder. After much physical therapy, tens massage, and acupuncture still no improvement. I also sustained muscle deterioration. This has been going on for 8+ months. Sharp prickly needle-like pain, numbness and stiff joints. Then my pharmacist warned/reminded me of statin side effects which prompted me to do more research. To my shock and dismay, all my symptoms were attributed to statins. I have since then elected to stop taking simvastatin 3 days ago. Everyday my pain, soreness has subsided significantly. I can now brush my hair, and sleep with no pain. I even feel the fog lifting from my brain. (Wishful thinking? Maybe.) I suggest you do your own research then make your own medical decisions on your own health. Bottomline, statins are the most over prescribed medication second to Viagra. Don't gamble with your health.

But if your feeling feet pain, first try high doses of calcium with selenium. Then try a trampoline to stimulate circulation and your endocrines to expel toxins. If exercise is not an option, then consult a doctor.
