Did your daughter's symptoms go away? I've been having this same issue and cannot figure out what's wrong .

See a few people complaining of leg pain. What medications is she taking? A couple of years ago, I was having muscle pain in my upper thighs. Doctor had no idea why. Got to the point I could barely lift my legs to go up a step. Nine I'd my meds listed that as a side effect. I started looking up all my meds on the Internet. Came across a small article about Nexium possibky causing this. I was taking Nexium at the time. I stopped it and within 4 days, the pain I had for weeks, was gone. Have not taken it since. I use Zantac now. You might want to check your meds.

I have had IBS for years and many years ago I complained (to more than one doctor) that it made my head hurt and sometimes my legs. It also gave me a kind of spasms in my legs that I noticed when trying to sleep at night (the doctor said it did not sound like RLS) A neurologist I went to finally told me something that I have remembered all these years. He said "You can IBS from the top of your head to the tips of your toes". As I have gotten older this has gotten more pronounced. It has taken the form of esophageal spasms for the most part, but I also can feel the tightening in my head and accompanying headaches. Sometimes I get these feelings just from slight pressure on my stomach such as getting dressed in the morning. My clothing has always had to be fairly loose. Anyway, you aren't crazy. It really can all be related.

Hi Ted,
your daughter might have fibromyalgia. It happens often, Fibromyalgia and IBS go hand in hand a lot of the time. a Neurologist can sit down and ask questions regarding your daughter's pain. If she is diagnosed, then the Neuro could possibly prescribe her nerve blockers to ease the pain.

I find that every day I have a ache or pain somewhere which I worry about but keep thinking it's only going to be ibs,
I have brought the fodmop solution book and going to follow the diets in there see if that helps.
All the best with it all,

Acupuncture can help, but have to find one that really knows about it. I replied before, a good digestive enzyme. I have 2, one with just digestive enzymes, the other with digestive enzymes and probiotic. Gotta find good ones. Also Rescue Remedy (a Bach flower remedy) can sooth the cramping muscles. Someone posted about nightshades never knew about that. If anyone is interested I'll give you names of what I use

Did you ever find anything out about this. I am having the same problems. Been dealing with IBS type symptoms for a few years but recently started getting lower abdominal, hop, leg and groin pain. Enough to send me to the ER twice. CT showed nothing. I won't see a specialist for another 2 weeks and all I can do now is not eat solid food. The best way I can explain the recent pain as if I did 1000 leg lifts the day before and then road a hundred miles on share bike seat. I know it is trigger by food but not any particular one. I could deal with the discomfort before, but the pain is almost too much. I'll post back after I see the specialist.

Oh boy, you just described my legs pain. I have been suffering from Ibs for the past 7 or 8 years now, but knowing that I had this condition about 2 years.
After I realized that I have Ibs I started in being proactive about it, but like you said, I know is triggered by foods, but I realized that not necessarily is the same foods that triggers it. I have been keeping notes in foods that triggers an episode only to find out that I also can get an episode by eating an Ibs recommended diet. But at least eating proactively I have s lot less Episodes.
I also realized that foods that were good before to eat, now their not, and now are giving me that uncomfortable lower abdominal, lower back and intestinal pain/cramps, and not to mention the bloating, but then after a month or so per say, I can eat them again.
I don't understand! Is very difficult to keep track in the right foods to eat, because today could be good maybe tomorrow is not.
I also started with the legs pain recently and that's how I got across with this website. I wanted to find out if the legs, and lower back pain were related to the ibs; which I see that it does.
Have anyone here know why the leg pain happens?
Is it a neurological thing as well? that when our colon gets irritated and inflamed our intestinal nerves get disturbed and that's where the legs pain and lower back comes from?
For now I realized that medical probiotics is keeping me much longer away from getting an episode and the Bloating is completely gone! I used to be bloated 6 days out of the week.
I will appreciate if someone here has any recommendations besides taking probiotics (which they do help a lot!)
I'm taking Dr Mercola probiotics and that's how I have been getting it under control.
If someone has a new information please share it with me!.. thanks

I have similar symptoms but less severity in the pain, I am seeing my neuro this week and discussing the possibility of Fibromyalgia, it accompanies IBS a lot of the time.
