Hi All,
I want to compile a new list of all the symptoms we have experienced that aren't on the 66 listed. If you could take a minute to write yours, that would be great. I'd really like to get these lists to all of our doctors out there, so hope when we are finished you will too..
My latest is burning foot, just one foot
Also noticed anxiety and depression did not make the list
Sensitivity to drugs
Frozen shoulder (aka menopausal or 50's shoulder)
Pain in upper back near shoulder blade
Trouble breathing (beyond shortness of breath, can't get a deep breath in)
High heart rate (even with low blood pressure)
Burning facial and upper body skin without sweating
sore, dry throat

omg this is me! I've been dealing with the upper left side of abdomen pain/uncomfortableness and gas/bloating. It comes and goes, some days are better than others. I'm thinking it's stress (and hormone) related. My stress has been ramped up lately and I know my hormones are going whacky right now because I'm getting acne right now.

Just told my hubby that I am worse now than when I was pregnant! Never had morning sickness. I've thrown up many times over the past2 years from severe nausea and perimenopause/menopause. Throat has been sore forever. Indigestion, bloating, 7lbs. of weight gain. At first I lost weight. Now after a year with no period, I look fatter than EVER! And I was always thin/petite. No more! My hair is AWFUL! Don't even recognize the new me. Anxiety and depression...just dark and sad. And the nightmares/bad dreams.
Things have settled since I found this forum and realized wtf is going on with my menopause body. My GP straight up said that he just doesn't have enough knowledge about menopause. Been seeing him for years. Decades with my gyn. Gyn gave me Provera in June. Just started taking it, as I am desperate! Birth control for 12 years kept me sane, I do believe. Had issues since age 22, when I was told my endometriosis was so bad that I needed a hysterectomy. I was like WHAT??!! If not for "modern medicine," I'm certain that I would never have gotten pregnant. And if I had, I'd be dead LONG ago. Some of us weren't meant to have kids. I don't mean to sound negative, but that is what I've been thinking about these days...I bled so badly after giving birth that I had to take medicine to stop it. My gyn said he treated a 16 year old girl who bled from her ears when on her period.
I've had ALL the tests, physical therapy, and so on. It's just lovely being a woman. NOT!

Thank God for this forum! It really helped me to realize what was going on too! You just reminded me that I had a forever sore throat too. Which led in to lump in my throat. That was one of my first symptoms.
How are you doing on the Provera?
I was lucky not to have bad gyn issues as a younger woman. Sounds like you've been through way too much to now have perimeno issues as well. Life is not fair.

Took the Provera a couple of months ago, and it did nothing. I've yet to follow up with the doc as am just SO tired of this. I'm glad you didn't have issues when you were younger. Hang in there. Thiis forum is a life saver for sure!

Oh my gosh I want some! I live in VA & we don't have dispensaries. The places here that sell CBD are questionable. Some places have gotten in trouble for selling fake CBD! I'm thinking of getting some from Charlotte's Web. CBD is legal here, but I need a reputable place to get the real stuff.

Hi Nancy
I know this post is old, hopefully you will respond. How has CBD oil helped you? Can you elaborate a bit more on the symptoms you had which has now cleared?

I understand. I've been through he same; hospital visits only to find nothing. Seems like a experience a new symptom every month or two. Now I'm having a intermittent vibration sensation in my right thigh when I walk. It doesn't last long and it doesn't hurt but it's definitely frightening because I know that it's not suppose to be happening normal. Because I've had a number of symptoms that are not listed on the 66 list, I'm trying hard to think positive and know that this will someday past. I'm a mother to two small children, so it is a must that I don't allow my mind to be overly consumed with the "worse possible" scenerio or depressed and anxious because I'm experiencing these awful symptoms. I have no other choice but to keep moving forward hoping for the best which is quick resolution of this beast.

Hi Shay,
Yes, just keep moving forward. Sometimes I think it's better to be busy so you can't focus on all the bad symptoms. But I thank God my kids were grown and gone and I didn't have to work when my symptoms were at their worse. Not sure how I could've done it. So I give you huge credit!
When I have something new, I just remind myself that it's hormones and to just try and forget it. For the last two weeks I've had constant twitching in my left eye. I'm also getting more visual disturbances, yesterday I looked at the grass in my yard and it seemed to be shifting! If I ever do have something not related to hormones I won't know it because that's what I blame everything on.
It is a beast. Good way to put it! Hang in there! XOXO

Hi Suzanne
I know you mention Trouble Breathing, I couldn't agree more, my Respiratory health has gone for 'no problems' to 'terrible' since starting menopause at 49. I became aware I was actually holding my breathe and suddenly needing to breath!!! got so bad that I had to actually think about my breathing. I do think the holding breath habit has to do with anxiety though. However, I was diagnosed with adult onset Asthma at 50. I have trouble breathing daily, very scary!...and I have never smoked, nor did my parents.
Good luck with compiling this list.....one things for sure, it will be a very long list! X

Last year, I was diagnosed with mild bronchial asthma. I have an inhaler I use from time to time but still can't get a deep breath in.
I still get my periods, and they come about every 24 days. but all my symptoms are:
*trouble breathing
*pain in right (dominant) shoulder
*night sweats
*skin feeling flushed and hot from the chest up
*muscle twitches
*headaches that started this year like I've never had before
*itchy skin
*weird body pains in strange places
sluggish/tired
*I go through bouts of insomnia for a few weeks then sleep like a rock for a few nights then back to insomnia again
*weight gain that's very hard to lose. I used to be a runner and now I have no motivation to exercise
*my sex drive is gone. if my husband told me we could forgo sex for a year I think I'd throw a parade
*crying for no reason
*bloated belly - thanks fibroids!
I know I've had many more symptoms that I can't think of at the moment, but these stand out. sadly, I've always been an anxious person and these symptoms just make it worse!
Thank goodness for these posts!

I forgot horrible dizzy spells that started when I was about 36 to come on very suddenly and feel like I've been whacked upside the head!

Oh Janie, I know all these symptoms, and more. I just replied to a different post and was trying to remember everything, your post reminded me of some I had forgotten!
One thing about the breathing. I had a doctor tell me that asthma is more trouble on breathing out, not breathing in, so wondering if an inhaler would even help this?

Do you have trouble breathing in or out? I had a doctor tell me that trouble breathing OUT is asthma, not in.
It's funny you say that about holding your breath. When I'm with my daughter she will always say to me "mom, you're holding your breath again". I don't even realize I'm doing it.
Maybe we all have higher anxiety personalities to begin with and maybe that's why we get more severe symptoms than those who are naturally laid back?

I get terrible vertigo spells a lot. They've gotten worse since I was 40...I turn 48 on Tuesday. An MRI determined that my brain is fine though. I also get the dry itchy skin. It's like every ounce of moisture has been sucked from my body & no amount of water or lotion helps. I can't wait for all of this to be over! At least I know I'm not going crazy...At first I thought I was. I agree with every person here that says thank goodness for this forum!

I get shortness of breath and heart flutters but everything checks out fine other than hormone fluctuations. Drives me nuts!

Do you know how to reset your inner ear crystals to help with the vertigo?
My ENT doctor friend told me how to do it and it worked.

Yep! I had 2 ENT doctors try it during one visit. The Epley maneuver...I think that's what it's called. Both times they tried I felt like I was falling from the top of a ferris wheel & almost threw up...haha! It didn't work for me for some reason. It made my vertigo worse. They wanted to do it again and I said, "Only if you want vomit on your shoes." haha! They were unsure as to why it didn't work.

My doctor had me lay in my own bed and I forget exactly, but he said I should focus on something, then tilt my head a certain way, reversing it, etc.. I can get the exact directions if it sounds different than what you tried.

I'm glad to hear that I am not going crazy. I had some of the symptoms especially the muscle twitching that comes about 2 weeks before I start my period such a scary sensation.. I thought I had some neurological disorder but doc says everything is fine that its part of the change.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one going thru all these weird symptoms. Thank you for all the post it really helps put me at ease somewhat.
