Hi All,

I want to compile a new list of all the symptoms we have experienced that aren't on the 66 listed. If you could take a minute to write yours, that would be great. I'd really like to get these lists to all of our doctors out there, so hope when we are finished you will too..

My latest is burning foot, just one foot

Also noticed anxiety and depression did not make the list

Sensitivity to drugs

Frozen shoulder (aka menopausal or 50's shoulder)

Pain in upper back near shoulder blade

Trouble breathing (beyond shortness of breath, can't get a deep breath in)

High heart rate (even with low blood pressure)

Burning facial and upper body skin without sweating

sore, dry throat

I've pretty much had all 66! Started when i was 39(peri) with severe stomach issues, racing heart, chest pain, nausea, vomiting. Lost 30 lbs because I could hardly eat. Stomach would spasm, bloated, either felt constipated or had loose stools. Thought I was dying. Had a million tests, nothing wrong except inflammation in small bowel. Naturopath helped alot. Then I was good for quite a few years but did notice manageable issues once a month right around time of my period. Fast forward to 51 years old. Started having anxiety attacks, racing heart, vertigo at times, heat rashes, hot flashes, night sweats, ringing ears, pressure in head (feeling like I'm in a tunnel),exhaustion, fear of EVERYTHING, gum problems, thinning hair, heat rashes. Was totally bed ridden for almost a year. Couldn't function. Also asthma like symptoms and other allergies. NEVER had allergies my entire life. Things got better. I try to manage stress, meditate and walk. I get stomach flareups when I'm stressed. Once I came into full meno (almost 2 yrs ago) symptoms got better and more manageable. But then new ones cropped up. Tingling in my legs/feet. Sometimes arms. Drier skin. Strange red blotches would randomly appear then go away in chest, upper back, upper arms. Muscle cramps (mainly legs), urgency to pee. Finally saw OB who specializes in bio hrt and he's the only doc who told me I'm not crazy! Decided against hrt because if you stop it, things can be worse. This past year has been better with more manageable symptoms. Still get hot flashes, night sweats. Still have some days I have no energy. Good days outweigh the bad now so I'm hoping my body is adjusting better. I'm now 54. Just had new symptoms. aching arm for weeks and now my shoulder. Sounds like the frozen shoulder thing. Still have some fears, working on that, but anxiety is gone. Stomach is better but once in awhile have manageable flareup. It's reassuring to see how many of us suffer with this and we are not alone. MENOPAUSE SUCKS!!

Hi Karen, the good thing is that we can function now. Only someone who has been there knows what that means. I'll be 54 in January and I am starting to have some better days too. I can't imagine having anything else since it seems like I've had every symptom. But then, there's always something. My older sister was just told her vaginal wall was starting to fall out. Like, WHAT????? LOL! So I'm sure there will be more to look forward to. But for now, I'm thankful that everything seems to be calming down a bit.

I think doctors don't help. They basically tell you that it's all in your head so that just magnifies everything. You start thinking you're dying because thats how you feel or you're going crazy! I'm learning now just to go with the flow and whenever I have bad days I realize it will get better. And I just keep repeating to myself that this is just a transition and one day it will all be forgotten. Just like childbirth! Except menopause lasts longer. Hang in there ladies. We are strong. God gave this to us because he knew men couldn't handle it!

I have had so many symptoms it's crazy. The inner vibration is weird but the increased anxiety is no joke and although I have suffered anxiety for years it has increased to a point I have it everyday. My eyes this last year have been bothering me. I get pain and aches in the eyeballs with my vision more blurred than normal. Would be interested to hear from other ladies if they too had this problem. Week before period sore tender insides with sensitive bladder that mimics urine infection. Tired and grumpy. Big time incontinence. Tena ladies my new best friend ha ha!

Hi ladies, i have been going through perimenopause since i was 38 i am now 54. I have had every symptom listed plus the new ones added to this forum. Muscle spasms or tightness in my upper back, groin pain is a new one, lower right side pain, just a few new ones to notate. The only thing my Dr said was what age was your mom and sister when they went through this and when I told him their ages he was like well its your turn soon. Uncertain of what was happening to me since my mom had passed away and my sister was no help I have been going to forums to see if i could find anything remotely to what i was going through. Thank you for your post, I actually had to start laughing the other day because I seen that i was okay and not dying since I found this forum to see we are all still here and need to stay strong, these changes can make you crazy or make you feel your going crazy.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE change your GP!! This is not correct information that he is giving you!!

Look at Dr Louise Newson & Liz Earle both these ladies are doing amazing work around Menopause & HRT - you do not need to suffer like this & for so long!!

    Hi Ladies

Your not alone. I have had all of the above...and many more. Doctors need to be a little more understanding with these horrible symptoms.

Sadly when they do their training - Menopause is only very briefyl looked at! Considering it is a HUGE part of a womans life this is a scandal! However much work is being done to improve this. It has also become part of the national curriculum within schools & their sex education syllabus.

Thank you so much. My GP is of the opinion that you need to ride this phase out. Once Covid is over I am going to ask to be referred to Gyn.

      Thanks
