Sorry guys, this one is for the ladies. So I am 11 days diagnosed, on vacation, watching what I eat, bathing in baking soda, wearing cotton panties and sing homeopathic cream and think things are calmingA down itching gas gone from 10-2 , pain has gone from 12-1, and then whammy! I get my oeriod and everything goes haywire. Hard to “ blot” after I pee with all that mess, trying to wipe gently, but psin has increased and hurts again to pee! Ugh! I don’t know how people deal with this long term?! I am using organic cottom pads- too dry for tampons- any suggestions or helpful hints during this time. Not loving creaming my V 5 times a day with the Red  river happening! Help!

Squirt a water bottle while you pee. Also if you use vitamin E oil ( from popped capsule only) it stays on and repels for hours. I would use tampons..lube it a bit.

Hya Karen, believe me it gets easier. I’ve only been diagnosed 2 months go, and I wear cotton granny pants larger then my size. Using cotton pads, a bit expensive then the normal ones has helped me, and when the period is less I apply the clob cream. Trying doing this.  I felt the condition was over taking my life I’ve now taken the relaxed approach and fingers crossed it’s helped even with the itching. Also hydromal for washing is brilliant don’t know what you use for the area. Good luck hun.

Thanks for your reply! What is Hydromal? Is it available in the USA? I usually just use cool water and if I’m in the tub baking soda. Until a few days ago I couldn’t touch it at all without intense pain, so I haven’t tried any of the cleansers yet.

I’m in the Uk. Was prescribed hydromal instead of using shower gels soap etc. every time I have a shower a massage it into the skin and wash it off it’s helped me tremendously. Don’t use shower gels bath wash etc now as it makes the itch down there unbearable. Ask ur gp what you could you as soap substitute.

I’m not from the U.K. but can order hydromol online wo a script. I’ve tried so many things and was curious if I should try yet something else. So your opinion is that it helps with the itch?

Do a separate Google search. There’s another site that sells it at half the price of Amazon.

I started using organic cotton tampons (without applicator) and it has helped. The last time I used a Playtex I had a bad internal reaction.

That said, I suffer from an intense itch that’s akin to some sort of water board torture. Especially bad around my period which is why I believe this condition is hormone related.

Whomever mentioned the VitE capsules, can you let me know if it controls the itch?

I want to know too! I bought Nateacare organic tampons last period ( before diagnosis), was so dry, irritated and ulcerated  that  I got it in, but was hell getting it out! I do think it would keep labia/ vulva cleaner for me to apply creams, so I guess I’ll lybe it up and give it a go! Thanks!
