Sorry to butt in, but I can answer that.  When I went to the GP surgery I felt as if I was going to pass out and was afraid to stand up.  I forced myself to stand up - and of course I was okay.  It was an anxiety attack tricking me.

      Hi

Whan was your anxiety start and how do you cope with it

It started out of the blue in March 2015.  I no longer have to cope with it because the medications I take are very effective ( sertraline plus mirtazapine).

I'm scared to take medication because of side effects did you suffer any side effects

Yes I did.  The sertraline caused insomnia, but the mirtazapine counters that, so the combination is excellent for me.

You have to weigh up the likelyhood of having serious side effects from a drug against the likely benefits.   A site like this presents a view biassed against the drug because most of the people are having serious problems with side effects.  People who do not have serious side effects tend not to post about it.

What you are experiencing is definitely panic attack. Do some deep breathing.. tell yourself its a panic attack! You will be fine. smile. Hugs!

This post tells one very little. Did you start to feel light headed and dizzy because you had just got up ( out of bed, a chair etc). Or did you feel this way because you were becoming over anxious about something? If this was a one off then perhaps you were light headed because you needed to eat/drink.  If it happens regularly then do you also have problem breathing?  If so you need to see your doctor. He may suggest blood tests and/or medication. You need to find out the cause of your problems and you won't do that unless you seek a doctor's opinion.

Anyone else had brief, minor chest pain and palpitations and heat in the chest while on Sertraline and Propranolol? At the moment I'm taking 1\2 a Sertraline Tablet for a week before going up to a whole (50mg) tablet and the Propranolol is 10mg which I have to take once, three times a day.

Also today in class I felt like I could pass out, I just felt really instead but I was fine when I stood up and I also had heat in my chest. Is that just anxiety?

*unsteady not instead (bad autocorrect -_- )

If both symptoms went away when you stood up it sounds like anxiety to me.  Unlikely to be caused by the sertraline or propranolol.

I thought Sertraline is supposed to stop the anxiety? I've also felt some heart beats, I've felt 1 or 2 really strong beats that feel wet (strange I know) that stopped after like 10 minutes I think.

Yes it helps anxiety, but not straight away. It takes weeks to become effective.   Also you have to find the right dose for you.
