Light Jogging / Running after THR...

Hiya Guys...

Maybe a daft question, but wanted to ask if anyone has, or knows of anyone who has managed light jogging / running after a THR. I’m guessing this is probably a non starter, but thought I’d ask anyway....

I know we are all different etc but just thought I’d ask....

Many thanks in advance for your posts and advice...

    Hi

My Sports Dr says - NO JOGGING ever again.  Which for me doesn't matter as I never did before.  He suggested aqua jogging which is better for the hips.  I've had both hips replaced now - (almost 5 weeks post op on number 2) so I'm assuming that he will say this again.  I am allowed to return to dancing - I teach partner dancing Salsa, Modern jive/Ballroom/latin etc.  What I know from my last hip op is that the hip action needed in the latin dances is quite hard in the early months.  The bounce in the Samba is also tough and the turn out and curtsey in Classical Sequence ( old time) was also a bit hard on my butt muscles.  For ladies heading off to dance - after a THR don't wear the high heels for a bit smile
