Looking for a cream for lubrication

Posted , 14 users are following.

Without boring you all with the details my body cant handle any kind of oils, which means I cannot use coconut or emu oil anymore.  I'm looking for something I can use during the day which is fragrance-free, and salicylate free as well.  It is only for lubrication nothing more...If anyone can recommend something that they have used then that would be great.  Remeber it is only for lubrication.

Wow! I had a nice answer here and it totally disappeared!  Well, here goes again. smile  I use Vagisil Prohydrate Natural Feel Internal Moisturizing Gel.  You can get it at almost any drugstore/pharmacy. Check the ingredients first!  Otherwise you can try vaseline?  Or Shea butter. Best wishes. I hope you find something that works for you. It's no fun being uncomfortable all the time.  I also use Emuaid First Aid cream. That works wonders!  Best wishes Guppy007. smile

Hi debi, no I have not tried Emuaid, I should order it although its a bit pricey.  I just looked at Vagisil most gel, and I'm going to order that first because its cheaper and see how I get on with it...in fact, I am going to order three different suggestions from here because LS likes rotation of creams oils..thanks!

Colloidal Silver gel has no oils besides it has excellent healing properties.

I would agree that Emuaid is pricey. I use the Vag too. And coconut oil. I'm going to try and phase out Emuaid because it's too much $$. It's a First Aid cream, but I think it's overpriced. If the coconut oil doesn't work long term, then I'll go back to Emuaid. Best wishes Guppy007. Please let me know what works for you!! Debi

I have seriously sensitive skin.  For daily moisture, I've been using Vanicream lotion/cream that comes in a tube.  Formulated for sensitive skin.  Not sure if it has the ingredients in it that bother you but you could look it up.  This is not to be inserted into the vagina but just to be used around the inner vulva and entrance to the vagina and perineum.

Also, I have found I am sensitive to estrogen cream the doctor prescribes.  I think it's the base.  I am going to a compounding pharmacy to have some made next week.  The pharmacist there is going to give me a small container of just the base.  He claims that it is even more "clean" and less bothersome than the Vanicream.  You may want to talk with a compounding pharmacist to find a cream that is free of what bothers you.

Hi on my steroid free days I’ve been using Aveeno moisturiser. I’ve been using it for about a year now, with no side affects. My gynaecologist nurse recommended it to me as it’s all natural and contains oats which is calming and was highly recommended by her other patients. I tend to be sensitive down there too and most of the commercial made products designed for that region seemed to make things much worse and were so much more expensive than Aveeno. Good luck I do hope you find something that works for you

Try Australian Dream cream.  I have used it now for 6 months and find it really helps to decrease inflammation.

My friend told me to use it for at least 2 weeks before expecting results (although it is soothing from the start).  She was right.

I looked up the ingredients.  It contains a mild vasodilator (helps absorption) and MSM (an anti-inflammatory).

I use it last thing at night, and in the morning only if I'm flared.  In between, I use emuoil for the lubrication.

I keep a pitcher by the toilet, to pour water (with a little Borax) over myself after every urination.  Urine irritates the tissue.  I'm 70 and retired, so I can do that, cause I'm mostly at home.

Hi Guppy have you tried Cerve cream. My urologist in therapy said it was safe to use I the exterior for just moisture. It seems to work well when I need to alternate. I go back and forth between this and oils (coconut and vit. e) with a try if it doesn't have things to harm you. I use the Cerve wash to bathe in. It helps a lot. Good luck!
