Looking for words of encouragement

Hallo all. Just looking for some words of encouragement. I know all will be well and I will finally get my life back, but I'm still very anxious about my hip replacement surgery on Thursday (31st). I keep bursting into tears! Must get a grip.

Glad it's all over for you - recovery starts here. there will be days when you feel like it is an uphill struggle but you have to think that every day you will be getting better and stronger. I found it especially difficult straight after the op but think that was because I was in shock. Your body is amazing and will heal. i am now on day 29 and have just been out shopping without my crutches. On day 2, I thought that I would never walk again lol....but keep looking forward and ir gets easier by the day xxxx

Hi there Jane. Yesterday was hard but I worked through the tears. All ok now although I can see my stairs at home are steeper than at the hospital. I'll save that malarkey for later! Thank you for all the positivity. Isn't biology wonderful? x

      Jenny,

The stairs should not be too much of a problem if you have a rail use that and one crutch in the other hand, go good leg, bad leg.

Hi poppet welcome back to the world of the crutch bearing living! Glad it all went well, the arse pain will be good within a week or so, don't know what they gave you but Tramadol spaced me out and I could do nowt for two days. Take good care and steady is the way to go. xx
