    hi angie,

i hope you have hours of uninterrupted sleep and will feel better upon awakening -

so, yeas apparently this is normal side effect - I was not told either and kept alerting the nurses that my BP was extremely low (I have high bp and take meds) - According to me I sould be dead at such low BP ... funny thing was that it was different reading between left and righ arm ... one normal, other extremely low (according to me)-

big warm hug and sweet dreams

Are you feeling any better Angie?

I have to say the biggest battle was the low bp, it makes you feel so sick, faint and unsteady and not particularly safe given you need to stay upright ideally!!!!

I fainted a few times too, it was scary with the new hip joint - but at least I was in the hospital and someone was there to catch me so to speak.

Personally I feel you should take it seriously and be extra careful. We few of us on here had falls on the stairs, so do be careful if you feel faint - try and sit slowly down and try not attempt the stairs too often until you are feeling much stronger   - and if you do if you have someone with you, make sure they are stood alert and behind you just in case.

      Sorry pressed the wrong button.

I ate watermelon endlessly, drank lemonade and took the scahets to replace lost salts and sugars, and felt a lot better. Try and sleep it off. This is not the time for movement and exercise, this is the time to sleep - rest, a few bed exercises and heal. It is usually blood loss that causes low bp and given what you have been through - take good care and soon you will feel so much better.
