      Hi Carla,

I can feel your fear and worry.

Don't worry too much about the op. The more you worry, the worst it be. I am in so much fear that my blood pressure shot up to 140 before op and 160 during op. I was even crying in pain without knowing during or maybe right after op. Keep calm Carla. It is life or death for me as I have endometrium cancer. Day 1 after the op, you be basically be on iv drips, painkillers and antibiotics. Catheter be there to drain out excess blood and urine. Day 2 if you are better, iv drips will be removed and nurses will help you to get out of bed and to walk. You will feel slightly giddy or faintly. They will let you drink a bit of water and if you can tolerate it without vomitting, then soft diet will be given i.e. porridge but no fiber. Day 3 catheter will be removed and do drink a lot of water and walk. Do get out of bed from your side. Day 4 if you could walk well and eat okay, then you could be discharged. Get yourself an abdominal binder. I find it helps especially in early recovery days. I had the binder around my belly when it swell or in sore. Back pain is there and as some members said it might due to wind.

Best wishes in your op and hope my info sharing ease your concern a bit

Hi nicola, thanks for sharing your experiences. Yes, I do have bruises here and there and my mom was shock and bluntly ask the doctor and nurses right on the spot when they check on me Day 2 after op! Standard answer given is that it maybe during the human body movement during op.

Nicola, try using abdominal binder for your swelling belly. I had on me the Oppo brand abdominal binder. Get one with a size larger as our abdominal are swelling now. It cost about maybe usd 40 (maybe cheaper at your side as I am from Asia).

I had ovaries conserved as I yet to reach 40. It is a risk for me as I am cancer patient but Doctor deemed conserving ovaries is of much more benefit to me.

Yes, let's keep all updated on experiences we faced and what remedies to help each other overcome it!

Hi nicola, so sorry to read that you need to go for another op coming 31 mar removing mass adhesion from previous 2 op. Is there no other options other than another abdominal cut? Would the new op cause more injury and adhesions? I only been informed of the risk of adhesion 12 hours before op by my onco and he said it rarely happens. What are the symptoms and when did you realize you had adhesions?

Take care and prayers for you

      Hi sue

Apparently no other option than this way I had the investigation op on 22nd December and wen I came round my consultant advised only way to remove them x I am now also getting pain where my ovaries were dragging pain and cramps it's rediculous I did actually sign before op to do what needed doing but he didn't now waiting 3 months for next op I feel helpless after emails to his secretary asking if could be sooner she advised the 31st March is only penciled in and could take longer 😪 I just want it over, he did say in a few years down the line may need more surgery if I have trouble but a few years of feeling normal is good for me xxx thank you for your kind words xxxx Nicola

Hi nicola, so sorry to hear that. But overtime, sometimes adhesions may go off by itself. Stretching though exercise may help. Do get second opinion as your doctor and his secretary sound fishy to me. All the best and let us updated on your surgery date...

Hi Ann Marie, thanks. At least I know now that back pain is normal. I still find it hard to sleep side way as like I am crushing on some soft tissue. Do you experience this? It also like over exerting your lower and side way muscle if I sat too long.

Hiya sue sorry for taking so long to reply. Yes I get all kinds of aches and pains when I sit for to long and if I lie on my side at night, I used to put a pillow in between my legs and tuck it under my belly that helped slot, I still find it uncomfortable to lie on my right side now but I can lie on my left no problem now. Also a good V pillow when sitting is good it helps with the back ache

Take care Hun and give yourself time to recover xx

Hi Ann Marie, yes.... Lie side way is a pain. Surprisingly mine the pain is more on the left side. Seating with abdominal binder on, is more comfortable. You could try.

Wow, can't imagine when the pain will go off as you are already 6 weeks post op and still suffering! Pity all of us :-(

I am due for my follow up with my onco tomorrow. Hopefully, biopsy report is early stage cancer. Pray for me...
