Lower blood pressure with panic attacks ?

So I used to do a lot of sports and that also makes my blood pressure a bit lower then average when I rest. My doctors said that this is all fine, healthy and not really dangerous.

But what I noticed is that during my panic attacks my blood pressure starts to drop even more and then I get in this cycle where I look at my blood pressure and I get even more anxious. I measure again and it gets even lower. I get scared to death and feel like im going to faint. Before I didn't measure my pressure during my panic attacks but lately I was interested to see what is happening with my pressure during attacks. When I kinda calm myself down my blood pressure rises again a little bit.

I thought it was interesting since most people get high blood pressure. I read about this a little bit and I heard that in fact it can happen. Anybody else with this ? Any ideas on whether that is alright ?

Just out of interest, what were most of the systolic readings, Happyguy? (That's the top number.

Usually it is 105/60. When I get very anxious the first number stays about the same, but the second one drops to around 50

Oh. Well, I'm a nurse and it doesn't matter what the bottom reading is as long as the top reading is over 100. Just ignore it, ok? If you were getting top readings of 80, for example, I'd be telling you to call an ambulance.

Now don't keep taking it just to check that the top reading is over 100, Happyguy.

105/60 is not low - it's normal.    xx

Thanks ! Well it bothered me a little bit because I constantly feel light headed and oftenly feel like im going to faint but my doctors said it is most probably my anxiety and that im safe. They also gave me green light to do sports and go on a vacation, but it is kinda scary/crazy thing to do that when you feel dizzy. I tried sports many times and it went pretty good. Still not a pleasant thing to do. I also spotted that my level of anxiety can influence my dizziness (most of the time it is always there but it usually gets worse when I get very anxious). I hope I can get off this dizziness as soon as possible and enjoy life again smile

Yep, according to my doctor, that is a terrific reading.

First thing I would say is stop checking your blood pressure all the time. Most people's will fluctuate without them being aware, and it lowering during panic isnt surprising. Deal with your anxiety,if your bp is an issue, your body will let you know without you checking

Well the problem is that my body does tell me like something is not okay, but thankfully my docs said it is my anxiety. I hope they are correct smile Also thanks for reply. I will make sure to stop monitoring my bp smile
