lump in elbow crease?

Hello all. I've had a lump in my elbow crease for a very long time now (years). Sometimes there is no pain at all but sometimes the pain is quite sharp. I'm guessing that's because it might be pushing down on some nerves in my arm. Every doctor that I've gone to tells me it's not a big deal and I shouldn't worry about it. Lately it's been bothering me more often than not. Sometimes when I wake up and extend my arm it is quite painful. But sometimes it is not painful at all. The swelling seems to come and go. Sometimes it is tender, painless and does not hurt when I push down on it a bit. But other times it swells up, becomes a bit hard and hurts when I push on it. Sometimes when my arm is bent for an extended period of time it hurts to extend it and the lump is swollen. I've included a picture. I plan on going to see a doctor in a couple weeks to get it looked at thoroughly but I cannot do so until May 1st. I just wanted to see if I can get anyone's opinion on this that has experienced anything like this or seen anything similar. Thanks in advance!

I have had the same lump for a little bit too.  I have both golfers  and tennis elbow.  From what I have found in my research, the lump is caused by the golfers elbow.  I have an arm brace but have found it to cause worse pain.  I have tried hydrocodone as well as morphine with little to no help.  My doctor told me to use ice for the swelling but I don't care for the extra pain of the ice.  I have found that wet heat, as from a shower helps short term. I usually have to rest the arm for at least two weeks for it to lower the normal pain load and make the elbow feel somewhat better.  The only problem with this is that as soon as I go back to normal use, the pain is right back.  Though this is not all the pain I suffer from, but it is one of the worst. At best I can only use it about 15 minutes max then I have to rest it for an hour at least to use it again .  This obviously keeps me from doing any regular work.  The best I am able to do is bits of work around the house.

I have the same issue. I've had xray and MRI and nothing is coming up. They are doing an ultrasound tomorrow. Did you find out anything? I've also been tested for everything under the stars. All is good.

PLz I would love to know what it is... I have had it for over 15+ plus years... NO PAIN, just itching like CRAZY.... but the “rash” has  spread over time. I’ve heard many things including from the doctor which do you not know anything. I just want to know what it is and how I can treat it, it drives me nuts because it itches so much again I have no pain zero pain. Now if I fall asleep and I wake up then yes my arm is completely numb but I thought that was due to my neck. If it has something to do with the rash I would love to know because the more I read any buddy that has a rash that wakes up their arm is not  my neck. So if you know anything about it please don’t hesitate to reply to me and I thank you to reply me so I know what’s going on

Hey, I'm pretty new to this site so i don't know if I'll be any help.. but, i do too have this lump. On the inner side of my elbow. I noticed it about 18 months ago due to pain whilst washing my dishes. I decided to go to the doctors about it and ended up returning three weeks later upon request of my doctor. I was sent for an ultrasound. The results came back after a fortnite, with no muscle/ tissue damage or abnormalities. So then an x-ray was arranged for me. The week after i was asked to return to the doctors for my results.

The doctor told me, i have an enlarged radial head..." like what doc? .. so basically, the bone is just too big. Theres nothing they can really do for it apart from pain relief.. unless it keeps growing to the point its effecting my daily life.. Maybe my diagnosis will help you all find yours? I hope so. Good Luck guys! -Tina 😃

I discovered this image 2 months ago and feel like I owe this board my experience after getting an MRI today. I thoroughly read, and reread, this board over and over seeking comfort and answers.

I have the exact same lump in my left elbow crease. I noticed it 8 weeks ago suddenly. It's not hard or soft. It feels like normal tissue. No pain.

I went to a well respected hand doctor in a large city. He trained at MIT. He told me my lump is a tumor and 100% NOT a muscle-skeletal issue. He started talking about sarcoma.

I had an MRI today and the tech had to rescan as he found nothing the first time. I came out to 2 radiologists both confused (but not at all worried) because they felt and saw the lump on the outside of my body and could not see it on the inside. Then another doctor came in and showed me the exact same lump in the elbow crease on her arm.

It's a bone protrusion from overuse. Like a bone spur pushing normal tissue up from the inside making it look like a soft tissue mass. Totally innocuous.

The MIT hand Specialist was wrong and jumped to a tumor too fast. It is, in fact, 100% a skeletal issue.

The radiologist said its likely due to over use. Like too much weightlifting which was an activity I have been doing for the past 10 years that I was trying to explain to the specialist who didn't listen and jumped straight to giving an MRI referral and a weeks worth of worry about soft tissue sarcoma.

I have had this same thing for over a year. It almost always hurts to unbend my arms at night. Recently, there has been a lump on the inside crease of one of my elbows. It is sometime painful and occasionally gets larger then recedes. The outside part of the same elbow always hurts to the touch. I do not know if it is related to the lump or not. This forum is helpful so thank you all very much and good to know it is just not me. I wish there was something definitive as to what it actually is as it seems to be be common than I thought.
