Lumps, swelling under glans, dry foreskin, Curving and size of Penis PLEASE HELP!

Posted , 4 users are following.

Hello for the last 8 months I have noticed some problems with my penis.

It seems like it is curving to the right and upwards and twisting to the right (when flassid or erect), I've also been noticing some white hard ish lumps (quiet painful if touched) appearing In different places all over the shaft of the penis (Peyronie's disease?). As well as that for about 3 months I have also noteiset it has been swelling under the glans if I pull back foreskin It dose look all swollen, red and like a rash with little red spots (trapped Blood?) and finally also my foreskin seems really dry and wrinkly. All of these problems are causing some pain and discomfort with my penis, I would also like to note I have never had sex.

I have been to the doctors about these Issues an Endocrinologist and a Urologist as I have other problems not just this (Primary Hypogonadism) (No Testicles).

The Endocrinologist was completely unsure what it was and sent me to a Urologist the Urologist wasn't interested in helping me sorting out the issues and concerns, I told him I think it might be Peyronie's disease but he was like theirs no way its Peyronie's disease as its really rare and it normally doesn't effect men in my age group (I'm 23) and the only option for Peyronie's disease he said is surgery witch is very painful and doesn't always fixes the problems.

I also am insecure about my penis size it never grew through puberty it might be because I was born with Primary Hypogonadism (No Testicles I'm on TRT for life) I've seen doctors about it they are not interested in helping, is there any way to make it bigger (length and Girth) safely for example Gelking and stretching exercises, Traction Devices, Pumps, weights..........

I've got a lot more than this going on I have Depression and suicidal thoughts and this is just adding to it as its bothering me and its embarrassing Please can someone help me!

    Hi RyanWeb23

We note from a recent post which you have made to our forum that you may be experiencing thoughts around self-harm. If we have misinterpreted your comments then we apologies for contacting you directly. But if you are having such thoughts then please note that you are not alone in this, and there are people out there that can help.

If you are having these suicidal thoughts then we strongly recommend you speak to someone who may be able to help. Their contact details are on our patient information leaflet here: https://patient.info/health/dealing-with-suicidal-thoughts, which also offers lots of other advice on how you can access the help you may need.

If you are having such thoughts then please do reach out to the team at the Samaritans (or the other people detailed in our leaflet) who will understand what you're going through and will be able to help.

Excuse me Moderator, I gave a very considered response to this person who is in considerable distress and what they needed to do about it. I spend upwards of 3 hours plus a day responding to people who post in the Penis Disorders Forum, I do not do this for my benefit, it is for those who are experiencing, sometimes considerable difficulties like this Forum Post individual.

If my responses are merely to be deleted for reasons that are not explained to me then perhaps I need to consider whether my 3 hours plus a day would be better spent elsewhere?

      Hi Wee_Dugie,

I have reinstated your original post. I do not know why it was deleted especially as it had initially been approved after moderation.

I'll report this to the other moderators and sorry for the inconvenience.

      Regards,

      Alan

Hello Wee_Dugie Thank You for your response I will try to find some Talking Therapy to talk about these and my other issues also what I forgot to mentioned in my post was I live in the UK and all the doctors I have seen are NHS Doctors I could try some private health care for this but I'm not sure were to go and it's also expensive because I have had a bad experience with NHS Doctors like the Urologist I didn't just go to them just for these issues tho I have other issues to do with Primary Hypogonadism.

Could you potentially help me with the things you listed like swelling under the glans, dry and wrinkly foreskin and penis enhancement, sorry to hear you have had issues with your penis too, I'll keep you up to date if thats ok just message me any time. Thanks again Wee_Dugie for your support.

Hello again Ryan, at last you have been able to read my initial response to you, here in the Forum that you have created. It would be helpful if we keep our future contact here, within your Forum, so that others experiencing similar things to you can both learn from and provide additional contribution.

So yes, I can help you going forward to help you deal with the issues you specify in your second post in this Forum, or, that is, your first response to me.

      .

So this is how I see the situation from your perspective, based on my own understanding of dealing with: i.) my own Chronic Health conditions (i.e. health circumstances that are permanent, rather than a temporary nature; and, ii.) getting health needs dealt with in a productive helpful manner, within the UK NHS system. I will briefly mention that I happen to be an NHS trained Patient Representative, and a Mental Health Advocate.

      .

I must further say that I have used NHS Talking Therapy services at different times in my adult life, I am familiar with the limitations of the availability of NHS Talking Therapy, but more relevantly, the huge benefits it talking therapy can provide.

So here is how I see your priorities for moving forward: -

i.) to deal with the health issues you face, and the impact this has had on your mental well-being is a major priority, and can even be the cornerstone for you to be able to move forward productively.

What Talking Therapy does is for you to focus on your own priorities, and gives the ability to put aside both unhelpful, and severely unproductive ways of thinking about your own life and the personal circumstances you have.

This idea of ‘focus’ enables you to set realistic priorities so that you can put aside a multitude of potential other issues, and other factors that may not be essential, in terms of how important they actually are to you.

To contact these you can self-refer, do a search for - “ NHS Talking Therapy “, then add the City you are nearest to, or the region of the country you live in. Or, simply phone your GP surgery and ask for the contact phone number, there are often posters and leaflets in the GP surgery itself specifying which local NHS Trust provides Talking Therapy services in your area, and how to contact them.

      .

ii.) you have had contact with a variety of NHS Doctors and specialists, and some of these have not provided you with the answers and practical support that you would hope for. So, there will be health advocates that can help you on a practical basis in your area, all you need to do is find how to contact them, and I would suggest because of your experiences I would ask to speak to a senior member of the team. to contact them, either your GP practice will have contact information, or certainly, the hospitals you have had contact with will have contact information, and may even have staff within the hospital itself on a regular basis.

The service is known as the “ Patient Advice and Liaison Service “ (PALS) - and again, you can do an online search for your NHS area, region or Trust - you can find which NHS Trust provides you with services by looking at any previous appointment letters you may have, and again you can either phone the Trust’s general contact number and ask for the PALS service in the area nearest to where you live. Or again, do an online search using the Trust name / Title, and PALS service.

      .

iii.) it certainly sounds like you will need to know about how to help your penis to be as healthy as possible, and to be able to move forward, in a practical and safe manner so that you feel happier with the penis that you have, and again, this will impact positively on your state of mind, once we get things the other factors (detailed above) dealt with and the practical measures relating to these, put in place.

So, yes again, the priorities for your penis in practical terms are i.) the swelling under the glans, and ii.) the dry and wrinkly foreskin that you currently have. Once we are working towards, and actually achieving a better state of health for your penis on these two factors we can then look at the kind of penis you would like it to be in the future.

      .

Just so that you are aware of the time commitment I have given, it has taken me around an hour to type what you see in this individual response!

      .

Ryan, no problem with the hour of my time - the point I was making was just to illustrate how long it takes for me to think through and type a considered response. I do this every day for other Forum Posts on here.

Only, yours was a particularly worthwhile post - you have a particular set of circumstances that are not easy for you to deal with. Over the years I have benefited from talking therapy, and, had a variety of issues with my penis and reproductive system. I hoped by responding to you this was a particularly good use of my time.

When my initial response was deleted by a Moderator on here my initial though was to delete my account, I had second thoughts and eventually got my initial response reinstated.

Good luck with the contacting of other people to also help you with your situation!

      Hi Wee_Dugie

Sorry its been a while just an update, I had to have surgery for another problem to do with my condition it went well I'm still recovering from it just wanted to let you know I have got a counsellor now I've had 3 sessions with him and its going ok I'm talking about all my problems to him including the penis issues (curving, twisting, lumps, swelling, pain and size insecurity) as he used to work in an hospital, I've also sent a self referral form to Options and I've spoken to PALS.

I've also seen the Endocrinologist again about other problems and the penis issues (curving, twisting, lumps, swelling, pain and size insecurity) he sent me back to the same Urologist. The Urologist was my surgeon for the operation when I had it when he came to tell me how it went he said "I've noticed you've requested to come back to me about penis issues (curving, twisting, lumps, swelling, pain and size insecurity) I've already told you theirs nothing you can do about it nothing else works only surgery to fix curving, twisting and lumps however it can lead to further complications and size theirs nothing you can do about that stop researching it your wasting your time" he has now sent me to another Urologist but it will take 12-24 weeks and my problems are still not fixed and it feels like its getting worse.

Could you potentially help me with the things you listed a while ago that you could help me with like swelling under the glans, dry and wrinkly foreskin and penis enhancement

      Thank You

Good to hear from you again! Sounds like you have quite a lot going on.

So, yes, as I said I can help you with the issues I mentioned. The essential that you need to acknowledge is that bringing about that changes you would like to see in your penis is a long-term project. You have some very difficult circumstances to contend with, and some of these may not be able to be rectified in the way or manner in which you would desire. The issues surrounding this are certainly something you can work on with the counsellor for you to come to terms with, and set priorities for the realistic changes that are achievable in practical terms.

      .

The Urologist you have been seeing - the one that has done the surgery, he has referred you to another Urologist. Why was this, what is the purpose of the additional referral? In terms of penis enhancement related issues it is important for me to understand what is going on for you, and if you have potential surgery in the near future on the shaft of your penis?

      .

It might help if we deal with the other issues separately - as I have previously said, you need to keep your information on the Forum pages here - what I would suggest is you start a new Forum Post either with the 'swelling under the glans' issue, or, the 'dry and wrinkly foreskin' one - pick the one that is of greater concern for you right now and start a new Forum Post with that topic.

It always helps if you can post photos showing the specific issue clearly - and as I also said, there is the potential for someone else that has overcome the specific issue to specify how they achieved that, or even for a medical professional to give you their opinion and guidance as there are several who contribute to this Forum from time to time ......

      Hi Wee_Dugie

      Thank You for your response!

Regarding the Urologists additional referral - I have to have another Operation and the Urologist said he doesn't specialise in that so he sent me to another Urologist and he also wasn't interested in helping me with my issues the only thing he offered was to have surgery for Peyronie's disease however he said you can possible loss 1-2 Inchs, It could come back and its very painful. I said to him again is there any other way to get rid of it he said no, but if you look on here it mentions traction device, vacuum device, Shock wave therapy and injections but he said none of them are proven to work and then he was like just ask the other Urologist about it.

Regarding penis enhancement related issues - I shouldn't be having any surgery on my penis unless I have to and if there is no other way. However my next operation is in the groin area but not on the penis if this changes I'll let you know.

Regarding New Forum Post - Ok I'll set up a new post on swelling under the glans it should appear soon. I'm not sure If I'll post pictures though as I have quit a lot going on down there but I understand it would be easier for you and others to have a look at instead of me trying to explain it.

Thank You again for your response and help,

      Ryan

Hello Ryan, thanks for the further explanation. When the Urologist replied " he said none of them are proven to work " I would basically agree with this.

In terms of enhancement, the essential issue is to avoid injury, so with manual manipulation and with the likes of vacuum devices it is almost certain that at times injuries will be created. When injuries occur all development activities need to cease until things are completely healed, this can take days, weeks or even an extended period of months.

I look forward to your new forum post - but I will say a bit more detail in a separate response here in this Forum on your issue of interest .....

      Hi Wee_Dugie

Just to let you know I started a new forum post called Swelling Under Glans (Pictures Included) as the name suggests I did deside to add pictures as I was finding it hard to explain the problem and it would be easier for people to identify the problem.

I haven't had any reply's yet, when you have the time could you have a look at the post I understand that you help a lot of people on this site.

I'll also post the other one "Dry and Wrinkly Foreskin" soon (sorry its taking a while)

      Thank You

      Ryan

Okay Ryan, thanks for this update here in your original post. I did see the Swelling Under Glans posting, but I failed to realise it was from you. Unfortunately from time to time I get far too many posts to respond to on this web site so I had hoped someone else would give that posting a considered response, so I am sorry for that.

I will take a look at that now and give a response.

When you first posted on here I was wondering whether your penis would have the typical adult male size and appearance, so the pictures you have posted that what your penis looks like is quite typical of an adult male.

      Hi Wee_Dugie

No worries I understand you help a lot of other people on this site.

Regarding penis size yes it looks a bit normal when erect (like in pictures there also zoomed in) but when its not it looks really tiny (2Inchs flaccid) and it never got bigger when I went through puberty embarrassingly erect size is only 3.8Inchs. I think it could be Primary Hypogonadism I think it gave me problems with development as I've done a lot of research on the condition.

Thank You for your reply on post: Swelling Under Glans I'll have a look at it now.

yes, I realise the issues you have with your Genitals is not easy to deal with.

I certainly would not have guessed from the photos that your penis was any different in terms of size from any other males .......
