Magnesium...again!

Hi,

I posted last week about the powdered magnesium citrate and got many replies and much help...for which I am very grateful.

I have taken 1 tsp on two nights with absolutely no change to my sleeping problems, in fact I awoke last night at 3.30am and just couldn't doze off...just about keeping it together today!

I don't want to up the dose quite yet as need my tummy to get used to 1tsp

Should I be more patient? Some reviews I've researched said it worked straight away for them!!! I know we're all different...

Hi ..I too started taking the powdered magnesium and it doesn't help with my insomnia.

I still wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back asleep.

I take about a teaspoon because it does upsets my stomach a bit.

    Hope you feeling better soon!

Hi...you sound exactly the same as me yet prior to buy this product, I did lots of research and most was extremely positive!

I'm persevering as don't know where else to turn anymore...apart from maybe the 5htp, which scares me a little...I think, to me, maybe it sounds too much like a sleeping pill...where I don't want to go!

Maybe worth a try though or another lady recommended St Johns Wort?

      Where will it stop??? Jx

I take it to help heart palpitations, but I read it can take a few months to fully kick in?

      Hi there

As we've ended up talking about three products...wondered which one you were reffering to?

Initially I asked about powdered mg citrate, then came St Johns Wort followed by 5htp (melatonin in there too)

Thanks for all the suggestions and experience...really helps

Which product are you referring to? I take St. johns wort for anxiety and heart palps which i can attest that both have cleared up in about a weeks worth of taking and just one a day is all it took. A few months back I took mg citrate but rather than fix my issue it gave me stomach cramps and pain, so I opted for the Epsom salts which enters your system thru your cells and where it's fairly instant. It makes me fall asleep, calms my nerves, and feel much better than suffering from stomach issues.

opps, I took the mg citrate for insomnia, but instead Epsom salts worked faster to put me to sleep. Of course, I used it in the shower, mixing a  scoop of it with hot water and rubbing it into my skin waiting a 1 or 2 before pat drying myself. I did this so that my cells soak in the salts.
