Mattress toppers

This may sound trivial, but being an insomniac anyway managing to sleep on my back after the op is one of the things I'm really worrying about.  I've been looking at mattress toppers and wondered if anyone else had bought one and if it helped.  I know I'll just have to suck up and put up, but nevertheless I'm trying to think of things to make me more comfortable.  I use a 'v' pillow and have bought extra pillows for my knees, feet and wherever else I might need them.  I've read through the discussions on here about sleeping but wondering whether to buy a mattress topper or not.  Quite expensive if it's not going to be helpful.

Happy New Year to you all xxx

I bought the thickest matress topper I could find - but I was moving into a furnished little bungalow and this was/is ideal to put on top of the matress -

I didn;t have this after 1st THR and can tell you what a big difference it has made post-op 2nd THR ...

Happy New Year, darling - All is well
