Hi Eileen I have just been looking back at the posts and yours. I am now 10 weeks TKR and I have begun to feel more positive less down days. Went to the physio this morning and she was very positive about my progress which was good but after she put me through my paces it is now a little more stiff but not as much as last time.  I have got a little down as before I went to see her I had begun to come down stairs normally although carefully, I tried it when I got home and couldn't get the same bend I will get it back I'm sure.  I hope you get the same positiveness ( it that is a word) as I have this week. I am taking just 2 tramadol a day now so don't know if that makes a difference to my mood. I have just driven for the first time too, so I think I am definately on the up after 10 weeks. Just thought I would let you know there is light at the end of this tunnel. xx

Ah thanks Jean. That is really good news that you are definitely on the up. Lovely positive text that cheers folk up I find I can do some tings ,like stairs one day but not so good another. Today I changed meds again !!! I'm on Co- codamol & Naproxen  now , see how it goes . I'm hoping it will give me more sleep at night. I think some meds do make us feel more down than others. On the whole though Jean, looking back ,I feel I'm really recovering, ok ,certainly not there yet & its a much slower recovery than I ever thought , but I too am starting to feel much more positive. I'm going to the physio Wednesday not that confident @ my rom etc but I do drive short distances, can climb up the stairs but not good at coming down .good luck we'l get there in the end & have all summer to look forward to.xx
