Ah, Tis doesn't live down my road! We still have a Milk Man! lol  We didn't know until we heard the clagging of bottles around 5.30am one morning, and he has knocked our door a few times. But our Bugalow is South-facing, hence the sun would be on the milk from when the Sun rises until we get it in... But, he still does a good trade around here, then again we have a NATO base just up the road from us. So, we have American's, and many other foreign guys with numerous accents - Some people say they would not mind living here because of all the different  accents. lol

One evening we were on our way home come to a T-junction and the traffic lights were on RED, waited a couple of minutes then we seen double-decker buses driving through the junction one after another, we counted about 25 or more before the lights changed and there was more behind them. It used to be an RAF Base, now it is NATO. We always know when something big is going on, because they usually have 1 or 2 Dual Rotator Wessex Helicopters come in to land on the base. The Wessex helicopters come from Fairford, bringing VIP's in by air, usually people like the PM or President, when theres meetings over here.

Then about 3 miles away we have another Airport for private planes and training pilots. If you're in to that sort of thing you see quite a lot going on, then it's normally on the news. We seen one Wessex Helicopter lift a old Jet from the NATO base, to the AIrport back last year I think it was. The same airport was used when we had the 2007 floods, bringing in water by tankfulls.

I guess it is all because eveything near us is within just a few miles, NATO base, probably a 5 minute walk, the Airport then you got the GCHQ base in Cheltenham, for Europe - that place is huge! It used to be that big that they had two huge parts either side of Cheltenham, now it looks like a huge flying saucer, the building is round and probably about 5-6 floors above ground - some people say it goes down in the ground by 3 miles, not sure if that is true though. They used to have nuclear shelters below the ground years ago.

There was one on Ebay if you type in on google the following you can see the price of it....lol

      underground ICBM silo ebay

I remember seeing it on Ebay for $5 million at one time!

      Some interesting things for you....

      Regards,

      Les.
