Hi Eliaimee, I’m not sure I have the same sort of symptoms as you but mine is a 4mm tumour on my pituarty gland which I get the symptoms of blurred vision, ora sometimes, off balance and frequent headaches. My tumour is a prolactin secreting tumour that I am on medication for which also gives me the same side effects.  Are they putting you on any medication ? It will be different for you if it’s a cyst but don’t know much about it.

I too can feel I can’t think straight , it’s very strange and makes you feel anxious.

i hope they give you something and you feel better soon x

I first had a blood test which showed the high prolactin up then an MRI which showed the tumour. I have MRI ‘s every two years and see my endocrologist every six months. The tumour was discovered in 2001 but I don’t know how long iv had it.

      in answer to crosado

yes anyone can get Ora it doesn’t mean you have a tumour so please don’t worry about that. I used to get Ora as a teenager, my dad gets them and always has since he was a teenager x

Yes they said either Rathke’s cyst or arachnoid cyst.  I get headaches everyday and sometimes with eye floaters I call them sperms😂 and is for a few seconds. I have a refferal to see a neurologist no I’m not on meds but I had a prolactin test and was high one week and normal the following week.  Im not on medication yet but I get dizzy and is just crazy I cry . In a way Im relieved I’m not the only one

Hi - it can also be caused by an ocular migraine.  1/2 of your eye goes blurry & fuzzy & then a little bit after you get that you can feel very nauseous & sometimes headache follows - I didn’t experience total mental confusion, but did feel very spacey - best to have it checked out when it happens -

My cousin had this happen to her at a stop light during her perimenopause. She suddenly could not figure out where she was or which way to turn...or whether to go straight. Total confusion. Not sure if she had her pituitary checked...but it never happened again. I dread if this ever happens to me.

I was having vision issues, and white lightening flashes out the side of my eye. I did have a brain MRI and was checked by a opthomologist and nothing was found. I think it was just another funky peri symptom either caused by hormones or anxiety

I was reading in a magazine about these women who all went to the same college and they all got this rare eye cancer. The symptoms were light flashes, and she said they first told her it was nothing. Then turned out to be tumors in her eye. I was like, great, now I'm back to worrying about that one. Arggghh

I’m gonna see a eye doctor as well to make sure is nothing ! I think is peri. I’m 48 so I’m just happy is not a stroke or aneurysm!
