Mental fatigue.....Fluoxetin:e

Posted , 2 users are following.

My depression is a result of severe mental fatigue. I completely burned out from work. VERY very very very long and scary recovery processes physically and mentally. Nobody teaches me a recovery process.

I was watching a small FLUOXETINE pill wondering if it'll help me. I learned first time what happens when brain cannot function any more and how hard it is to bring back once shut-down functions.

How can we help you? Have you taken the fluoxetine yet? Do you have a Doctor that you can speak to?

      HI

      Thank you for your response.

I've been on Fluoxetine 20-40-60-40mg currently for 42 days.

I take Remeron 15mg to sleep at night.

I have no idea how those med will help my exhausted brain even if i feel my condition has been changing a little by a little.

Try to be patient by fighting against scs.

Oh good. Glad you are on Fluoxetine & Remeron. I am on Fluoxetine & was on Remeron at the same time. That was a great drug for sleep. It is a good sign that your condition is changing a little bit! It does take a good while for these drugs to settle in.

May I ask? What is scs?

      Hi

      Thank you again

SORRY for mistyping...symptoms=sxs Remeron works well to sleep.

Yes, it takes FOREVER for Fluoxetine to settle in as you say ....that's how I feel. Did you stop Remeron?

I gained 8 pounds in 7 weeks with Remeron... so bad.

      Thank you again

8 pounds....feel heavier. Makes me feel depressed more even if Remeron 15mg helps me.

Did you suffer withdrawal when you cane it off?

How many weeks have you been on Prozac? How's your condition?

Welkbutrin is NDRI. Enhancibg dopamine release.

My doc suggested me Well utrin. But I refused since Cymbalta (SNRI) caused me auditory hallucination and made my dissociation worse. I'm scared of taking either SNRi or SDRI.

      By the way

I used to take Ativan for anxiety but it made my dissociation and confusion worse since my brain isn't working well.

Im taking Hydroxyzine ( antihistamine) for anxiety.

i feel less anxious lately. i don't know if Fuloxetine is helping or not????

I was on FLUOXETINE for 13 years took myself off but needed to be back on it again i had a hard time getting back on it had to do it very slowly starting with 10 mgs then to 20

Lost my appetite & lost about 20 lbsdoc put me on REMERON & I gained it all back & then someDOC had me get off it slowly to avoid major withdrawal

You sound like you are on top of things & very smart about these meds which is good!

      Hi

i'm in the similar situation. I was on Lexapro for 15 years then came myself off.

5 years later now...I went back to Lexapro but it raised up my blood pressure badly. I couldn't take it anymore. I Took Fluoxetine once a long time ago and it worked for me. So I decided to go back again, hoping it'll work again for me.

It's extremely hard to come back yo myself. Struggling everyday....

I don't want to take Remeron since it's hard to get tid of it.....

      HI

Thank you for your kind words.

Yes....I totally agree with you. I need it work NOW. Brain doesn't respond like that. So overwhelmed with my severe weird condition.

      How is your condition ?

My issue is Depression & Anxiety. It's much better now that the Prozac has settled in again. I don't know why or how I have Depression & Anxiety. No one in my family has either. It's very hard for other people to understand what we go thru.

I get stomach aches that trigger my anxiety,,,,,,I know it sounds weird & it is weird.

I have a good life so I really have no reason to be depressed, but I am.I can cry at the drop of a pin.

I wish I didn't have to take meds.I'm on the Fluoxetine 20 mgs & Wellbutrin 200 mgs & Xanax 0.5 if needed, which is every day) Bone medicine too for the osteopenia. A statin drug for my cholestrol .

      Too many meds.

      Hi

it sounds good...Prozac is working for you again.

Depression and anxiety.....Genetic, in my case. I totally agree with you. People who have never had it don't understand how hard it is to fight..

I didn't need Hydroxyzine for anxiety today. Maybe, Prozac is working a bit???

But....Ups and downs. I was so anxious and nervous yesterday. 7 weeks on Prozac. I don't expect much.

I take med for colestrol too.

I remember I had severe stomach problem and occasional insomnia before i had this severe mental breakdown.

Hello Yu-Are you being treated by a good physician? I'm in the U.S. Where are you?

I'm assuming that you are out of work now. Do you have anyone at home with you?

      I just worry about you....
