hi all i had my first treatment of the mona lisa touch a week ago  i will need to have another one before doing the homework if you know what mean.cheesygrin but it was was itchy for most of this week not sure if it was the cause or that i had a cold sore on my lip come up at the same time cos i get itchy down there when they are about to appear.  and the area around my anus is sore. but i will not give up and see what happens the doctor who did it is positive so we will see . there was very little pain it felt like little needles of the ones i did feeland he did put numbing gel on outside, so not bad. i go for second treatment on 17/7 so we will see what happens.

    I hope this is the right place to ask this... I have finished my 4th MLT Dec 2015. I would say that I have 70% success. I'm wondering about the once a year maintenance if it will result in a greater success, more than the 70% ? My partner is now only a friend and I do not know if I will in be in another intimate relationship, I am 59 years old, so again, do you think I will experience more than 70% and will it be worth the $1800 to do maintenance?

      70%is pretty good so you will need the maintanence in order to protect the gains you have made

      I just did my first MLT two weeks ago and I'm hopeful… My major issues were UTIs continuously… When you say 70% does that mean you are having pain or ???? For me only time will tell on the UTI

      Hi - I have 70% less burning from the vaginal atrophy symptoms. One thing that was a plus was I quit having urine leakage. And from what I understand the Mona has a positive effect on both bladder and rectal issues. The treatment did make a difference in improvement but did cause some more burning after each treatment and got better by my next treatment. I was absolutely miserable but the percentage of relief is a God send. I'm hopeful the treatments will work for you too!

      Hi Dr - After I do my yearly maintenance will I obtain a greater than the 70% gains I have now? I do understand I must do the maintenance to retain the results I now have and my Dr was pleased with the 70% after finishing my final treatment. But I am wondering if I will have even greater percent of improvement after maintenance or still be at 70% ?

      Yes. I am much much better. Still some itching flare ups. Usually stress related or associated with sitting during long flights. I have another - treatment #4 - in two weeks but my tissue seems much healthier.

      Oh 4 treatments. I am scheduled for three. R u in the US. I was told 500 for once a year maintenance.

      Yes Nancy I am in SW FL. I started with three but because of progress Dr wants to work on one other exterior area.

      Good to know. I am in Northern California. I see big motive meant after 1 treatment. Feel insurance should cover this as many women are suffering from this condition and there is no relief

      Hi Karny....I am sad to report that I have had 3 treatments with no results.  After the 3rd treatment, I was in a lot of pain for over a month. This was back in December.  I am going back next week.  The Dr. told me that sometimes it takes more than 3 treatments....I feel so disappointed that it has not worked for me....yet.  

      Have you ever had a patient where it got worse and then better?  I remain hopeful, but nervous.

      Jane. I had two treatments and there is a big improvement. So far no uti or that pain that was always there

      One more to go in April. I so far would recommend it. HRT was not doing it and then I developed yeast infections.

      thank you nancyo. Do you have LS or was yours for atrophy ? Did you have internal and external MLT ? And if so was one more painful than the other? Also does anyone know of any risks to MLT?

      I have atrophy which caused so many Uti's Treatments were internal. No risk that I am aware of. Second treatment but more painful but nothing to speak of after years of pain
