I have been reluctant to share my experience initially, because i didn't get the immediate results i had dreamed of with the Mona Lisa touch procedure.  I have now had two treatements and after each had incredible itching.  the first time it lasted almost 3 weeks.  This time less than 10 days.  i sometimes have a slight itch (nothing I have to medicate) and the burning when I urinate is gone as well as the overall soreness.  i have one more treatment and I am more optimistic than i have been in a long time.  So please don't despair if it doesn;t feel better right away.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I was beginning to think I was the only one who had not had a perfect result right away.

I told my doctor about the itching people reported on this site and he said he has not heard of that.  We shall see.  Will have my first treatment in two weeks... nervous to say the least

Hi - I was told to wait 48 hours after the treatment and then insert Aquaphor. That helped alot. I've seen other recommendations for relief and healing. If you do experience discomfort use one of the 3 methods as the Aquaphor was very helpful for me.

Hi Christine:  so how were the follow up treatments.  Are you pain free now after 6 months.  Did you get UTI's prior and do you still... I am thinking of it as I sit here with another UTI

Hi all...I have had three treatments for a total of $2500.  I am so disheartened and the Dr. thinks I will need more treatments.

I am in more discomfort than I was in the beginning of treatments.  My husband and I cannot make love and it just makes me so sad.  It is so painful.  Has anyone had any success???

Oh Liz that really is disheartening. I have an appointment consultation on January 7… This is one of my fear is that I'll go in and come out feeling worse than when I started… When I have my consultation I'm going to ask him about this… Please keep me posted on your progress

Hi Liz... I am scheduled for January 21 and so sad to hear you did not have the result you needed.  I too paid 2500 and have not heard about needing more than 3.  Have you had any uti infections since the procedure.

Dear All, I had my first treatment a week ago. The first couple of days were really hard and I wondered if I had made a mistake. But yesterday I realized it was the first day in 14 months I had no pain. So my takeaway at this point is to hang in there. My issues were extreme atrophy and mild LS so my case my be different.  I'm so sorry it is not working as well for everyone. But don't give up!

Your experience sounds pretty typical. I have performed over 100 treatments with the MonaLisa Touch laser in the Seattle area since Feb 2015. The treatment can cause a flare up of irritation especially if you are prone to that. Keep going because the second and third treatment are usually more potent because it's on stack 3, meaning the laser passes three times so you get a deeper treatment and more energy. Good luck!

my doctor made it sound like no big deal, drive yourself, has not heard of itching... I am skeptical but scheduled because I have no more choices.... hopeful.

Nancy and all following this discussion.

Had my third treatment this last week. Painful to urinate for a couple days but not much itching. Best news is that I have few white patches and lots of healthy looking tissue where there was none before. I am so encouraged. Doing another treatment in six weeks cause we are on a roll.
