I suppose you can request that the Laser treatment is similar to previous treatments but perhaps the benefits outweigh the side effects, I have only had one ML treatment and should have had a second last November 2017 but managed due to lack of funds however just sold a property so going for a second when the funds come through, I don't know how I've managed as after the first ML I felt amazing but redundancy put paid to my 2nd ML and tried not to dwell on the symptoms

Due to my Atrophy and desperation to find a "safe" solution to fix it, I stumbled upon the ML procedure. I had my first procedure in April with no change to my Atrophy at all. I had the 2nd treatment 6 weeks later. It has now been a little over 2 weeks since the 2nd procedure and I am still very dry and itchy down there with NO change at all. My doctor said I should see results in about 2 weeks. I am feeling discouraged and not sure if I will go back for the 3rd procedure scheduled on 8/17. The cost for the 3 treatments was $2,100 and I am starting to feel like it was a waste of money. My doctor said I was the first person that had reported no change from the ML procedure. I am glad to have found this site. At least I know, I am not alone.

How many of these procedures has this doctor performed? If it's only five that isn't too convincing. If it's hundreds that's different. I haven't had it, but my current gynecologist thinks it's pretty severe treatment to perform on thinning skin.
Did you try hormone cream first?

I'm happy to hear it eventually worked for you
For me though, not sure if I want to invest anymore money since I have not seen any change at all. I may go for the 3rd treatment just in case...still not sure.

I also avoided hormone cream for at least 3 years as I was having no discomfort. (Also 20 years ago when that doc wanted me to use HRT). However this last winter I was getting what felt like an internal itch that came & went. Was not able to see a doctor as I have an HMO that does not cover me out of state. Made an appointment to see one as soon as I returned home. New gyno diagnosed LS which I had only vague knowledge of. Bit the bullet and am using estradiol cream and steroid. Was effective after two days, but now itch returning a bit after several weeks. So...who knows? Will have to take it one step at a time.
Last gyno (3 years ago) had prescribed Premarin which I avoided. Not sure if one is more dangerous than the other. Both docs said very little exposure to the hormone when used locally. Just have fingers crossed that I can keep everything under control.

I have had all three treatments, I'm using an Estring AND lubrication and still no change. I have as much pain during penetration as I always did. This was a waste of $ for me.

It did not work for me; even with an Estring and lubrication I continue to have a significant amount of pain when I am intimate with my husband. It was a waste of money for me.

Don't waste your money; it did not work for me.

I sold Premarin Vaginal Cream 6 years ago. It's incredibly safe and effective. Your doctor should be able to give you samples to try.

I think some of us may need more treatments than others....
