Mono need help

Hi so In June I woke up one morning feeling very weak. I thought I needed to eat something but when I ate breakfast I still felt weird. I ended up having my first panic attack. My entire summer was filled with ER visits for weakness, low energy, fatigue, dizziness, off balance feeling, and generally feeling unwell. It turns out I have mono (diagnosed a week ago). I don't know what to do. Just looking for others' stories and well and recovery process. It's my 3rd month and I just feel so helpless. ?? Thanks guys ! Blessing to all

Yes Christy I had some light headedness during the virus, I think that can be quite normal and it might be worth also getting your blood pressure checked if you haven't already, sometimes low blood pressure can do that but it's not usually anything to worry about.

Hi Craig, I'm not even exaggerating but i literally got my blood pressure checked at least 20 times in the last week. Nurses and doctors said it was good every time. I had it checked laying and standing to see if my blood pressure changed in position but still it was fine. That's why i was so confused lol.

Take it as encouraging that your blood pressure is normal Christy - I know it's frustrating when nothing shows up when you're feeling so unwell, but that is the general way of it with glandular fever, and be assured that points to the fact that the symptoms are coming from the virus and nothing else - and of course the virus does and will pass in time and you will get better - each day is another day away from the day of infection and towards recovery, it's so hard to be patient I know but you will get there

Hey Lea,
Sorry ot hear that your son's fever is still up, it must be so frustrating I know. It just takes a bit of time for recovery, nowhere near as long as an adult I am sure but it is still a significant virus so don't panic he will get better again...just hoping it comes sooner than later!
Thinking about you and just make sure he gets good sleep, etc, all the usual stuff. Try not to worry I know it's so hard, but as horrible a virus it is, it gets better!

Very normal with this virus, make sure he rests as much as possible.

Hello Guys I hope everyone is feeling okay. Today I'm not suffering from dizziness and lightheadness (thank the Lord!). But I am suffering from major fatigue. The fatigue came back sooo hard today. (As I'm not sure it even left in the first place). I'm really sad and worried this will be a never ending cycle. All I did today was shower and do a quick walk to the store and I had to rest ever since. I'm so fed up with this ughh.

It is very normal to go back and forth with the virus, I remember trying a two block walk with my mom and the next day I felt so tired and sick ugh, Just rest, rest and more rest as boring as that is.

It's so crazy how life works. Never thought I'd be crying because I didn't want to rest ugh. But thank you always !! I appreciate it

I feel so bad today, I wish I could take this virus away from everyone suffering from it. I have terrible anxiety and it's just escalated since my son got sick from this.

I know what you mean about anxiety. I'm only 17 and I feel 90 some days. That gives me major anxiety. I'm scared I have chronic fatigue syndrome. It just feels like everything is falling apart

Hi Lea / Christy / Mono,
Just let you know I'm still thinking about you, the mental side of this virus is so taxing - the fatigue is normal Christy and it's easy to say it will pass but when going through it it's just so tough to deal with - just hang on in there each day at the moment. Your fatigue and mood will lift, these are the hardest times, but you're weathering the storm and will come through it without any doubt.

Hi Craig thank you. Today was really a difficult day. I woke up dreading the morning because I knew it was going to be another sh*t filled day. I shouldn't think like that because that's only more negativity. But some days like today I feel soo hopeless

I remember these days so well, I started just giving into them and either watching a movie, reading. watching TV, listening to music anything to not concentrate on the way I was feeling. My daughter started doing guided meditation, she found online for health. I know it is so hard but next year you will be here giving advice and celebrating your recovery

I know it's different for everyone, I definitely find the mornings and day times the hardest when going through tough times like folks here are at the moment. It can be so hard to deal with the thought of another day and even structuring the simple things in life become so hard. It's just difficult to explain and understand....I know the feelings well and just trusting and believing in God to restore everyone on the site here and bring everyone back to full health and prosperity again - I truly believe that will happen!
