Mono need help

Hi so In June I woke up one morning feeling very weak. I thought I needed to eat something but when I ate breakfast I still felt weird. I ended up having my first panic attack. My entire summer was filled with ER visits for weakness, low energy, fatigue, dizziness, off balance feeling, and generally feeling unwell. It turns out I have mono (diagnosed a week ago). I don't know what to do. Just looking for others' stories and well and recovery process. It's my 3rd month and I just feel so helpless. ?? Thanks guys ! Blessing to all

When you’ve never had anxiety prior to this you’ll do anything to get rid of this 😩😩. Ugh it’s terrible. Half the time I’m soo fatigued and the other time I’m anxious asf. It’s Like my body isn’t running on any energy just straight adrenaline

Hi Sunny girl, no I haven’t tried any relation apps. I’ve done meditation videos on YouTube but that’s about it. Thanks for putting that out there ! The thought about apps didn’t even cross my mind smile

Just want to reassure Christy that the anxiety will pass over as the symptoms do, just wish it could all happen much quicker because I know you are so weary and tired and facing another day can seem like a mountain to climb.....praying God gives us strength in Jesus name to get through those feelings.

There's an app in the UK called Mind Shift which is supposed to be quite good for relaxation too Christy....haven't really used it much but maybe worth looking into - I know there are loads of them right enough.

Yep.  Absolutely. I remember having a moment at my parents this summer before I had been diagnosed and having the worst panic attack.  My husband took me outside and talked me down.  But I felt so disconnected to him and everything else.  It was the worst feeling ever.

I totally get the adrenaline thing too.  If I'm not super weak or tired then I'm wired and shaky.  It's like my adrenals cannot get a grip! Wired or tired!

Hang in there!  I think we have had a very similar path with this.   We have to beat it.  I know we will.

      Hi Lisa and Christy,

That feeling of anxiety and shakiness is horrible. Mine has only started to go away in the last three months( I was diagnosed in October 2016. It is very strange one day it just starts getting lighter and lighter, I thought I would never get over it and 10 months in it started getting lighter and one day it went away, the feeling is almost like having low blood sugar. I think it is the virus affecting the adrenals, ugh!

Hey Mono!  Yeah it's the weirdest feeling.  I had them lower my thyroid dosage which helped but it's like the fight or flight is constantly engaged.  I had my cortisol checked back in August when we didn't know what was wrong but it was normal (as was everything else.)   So far though it's pretty random when it hits.

That's amazing that it goes away!  I'm used to feeling a bit wired- but without the actual energy to go burn it off it has no where to go and it's making me nutty.

HI Craig, yea ever since I got off my anxiety medication it seems like everything has gotten worse. Even the fatigue. I convinced myself I was stuck like this forever. So your reassurance really has meant the world to me. Thank you so much

      Hey Christy,

Oh I do understand, and listen there is no problem whatsoever in taking medication for anxiety / depression, I know it has and still does help me in my life and do discuss with doctor if you feel it is something again worth thinking about just to get you through this time.

And thanks so much for your reassurance to me too, not been great myself recently and just hoping and believing next year will be a better year thanks to God's victory in our lives.

Thank you Craig !! And yes I know there isn’t anything wrong with taking those pills it’s just the adjument period was too hard on my body because I went on while I was still very sick with this virus. And then getting off was hell too. I went through a mini withdrawl and I’m still going through it. My nausea has intensified and nothing feels real. And no problem I truly do pray that 2018 is a better year for us ! ❤️

At the time I didn’t understand what was happening. It was just two 17 year old girls in aterrible  situation. And I Too felt very disconnected!!! IVE never felt normal since that day ! Adrenalin has been terrible for us haha
