Yeah I wake up in the morning and my first thoughts are "can I feel my physical Symtoms" "Am I feeling ok today" it's my first thought as soon as I wake up I know I shouldn't think like that but hey it's hard when you have constant anxiety I've been left with all this ever since my first panic attacks year they have nocked me sideways.
Hope things improve for you!

Yes Luke this stuff is like a bad case of poison ivy that just won't go away lol. I think that we freak ourselves out and make things much worse. I am thinking that maybe I should exercise more in the morning

Yes, every day! I took Paxil for about three weeks a month ago and that when it started happening to me but I've been off it for a month and I still have it. I wake up shaking, anxious and nauseous. Most of the time it goes away in about an hour but sometimes I have to take klonopin to get relief. I got to the point where I couldnt sleep normally so my dr gave me Trazodone and that helped get me though the night but I still feel like hell when I wake up. My dr thinks I had a bad reaction to the Paxil and it will go away, but I'm just not sure! I know how much you're suffering and I hope you can find a solution! Good Luck!

This really does suck guys! I have a lot of life stressors like fiancée with 3 kids of hers, my own small business on top of a full time job, trying to buy a house and so on. I was able to manage all of these things for over a year now but ever since I got shortness of breath every morning from being sick, it just won't go away. I am 40 years old and seem to be in decent health. I have acid reflux I know for sure, smoker, and don't always eat right lol. I went to the hospital, the first time since I was a teenager, last month with a full blown panic attack. This of course was when I was sick. Now I still have small panic attacks only in the morning. I am trying to figure out how to stop them. This is making my fiancée and kids to be cautious around me because they never know what kind of mood I will be in. I cut back on caffeine, cigarettes and exercise more. I was stressing the other day and just went nuts with exercise. About an hour later my anxiety and stress were completely gone for the rest of the night. The next morning it was back to the same thing. UGH!!!

My doctor put me on St Johns Wort to take for 2 weeks and see if there is a change. I will update if it works for me. I am taking Zyrtec every night to stop my post nasal drip that I get almost every night now. This seems to help a little bit. I will have a coughing fit every morning for a small amount of time and chest tightness. A friend told me it could be asthma but I can exercise without shortness of breath. A couple hours after awaking the tightness goes away. The anxiety doesn't always though. Wouldn't the doctors have seen asthma on an X-ray? Maybe it's just allergies and I am freaking over nothing. Anyone? Lol

Wow I am sorry to hear about this. I am wondering if the St Johns Wort doesn't help then I may need medication. I can't help but think that lifestyle changes could lessen stress for me. Some days I will stress all day with different breathing patterns, butterflies in the stomach, not hungry, shaky, and chest tightness. I have since stopped my side business and focused more on my full time job. I still have the other stressors though.

See, that is the problem when it comes to anxiety and depression, you need to try the treatment for some time and see.
Your symptoms are really anxiety symptoms and that is clear , mine also anxiety and we both know it but still we are scared and that what makes the life harder.
I hope you get better and i hope that you dont need the med.

Yes, in anxiety we tend to cough because of our breathing. We assume we dont have enough air and we cough but that is just a reaction due to the anxiety ao it is normal and our air is normal but we just anxious.

Thank you very much for that information lol. I was starting to feel like I am alone in this. I am obviously assuming the worse. I am thinking that I have asthma or something else. It's driving my fiancée crazy!!! If you google anything now a days it tells you that your going to die hahaha. If I had asthma I would think that I would know just by exercising. I don't have shortness of breath when I exercise so......

Asthma is not what you read. I have asthma my whole life and i had it years before anxiety and i know it very well.
What you describe is definitely not an asthma. So be cool it is just an anxiety.
