MRI Results

I got my preliminary MRI results today. I will know more when I go in next Tuesday, but I was told there are multiple compression fractures and one really signifcant one at T7. Since I am in little to no pain, I am honestly assuming these fractures are from way back when I was first diagnosed in 1992. I will find out more when I go in.
I looked up T7 and that concerns me being one of the main areas that supports the spine in so many ways.
Any thoughts/insights???

Good evening,
dont know if this is right place to be posting, but I just received phone call from GP. I had an X-ray last week as I had sudden onset of severe back pain, following a fall. It seems X-ray is showing ostoparenia with infarction L1. Which appears old. Hope I've got the terms right. I'm to be put on waiting list for bone scan. She's almost 100% convinced I've osteoporosis Can anyone explain what happens next? I'm still a bit surprised by it all, there's so much on the web I'm in danger of overwhelming myself. Thank you very much.

I think you should start a new post as this is quite a long one with the subject of MRI results. Also this one was first posted nearly three weeks ago, so I suspect you'll get better response with a new post with a more specific to you subject heading.
Did your doctor give you your t-scores? This is only one part of the puzzle, but an important one. What are the suggestions regarding treatment? I recommend you not accept any osteoporosis medication without thorough research first. You may not even need it. My doctor told me I had osteoporosis but when I was finally given my t-score for my hip it wasn't that serious after all so I was pleased I'd refused the medication. So far doing well - next scan due in October so I guess I'll have a better idea then.

Thank you. I have posted on a new thread. I don't have any scores as have literally just been sent referral letter. No idea what waiting times are.

Hopefully you will. As we are all over the world sometimes it takes a while to see replies as we are active at different times of day (and night). I live in the Atlantic time zone so have the advantage of seeing European and UK postings while they are still up, North America of course, and if I check late in the evening there will nearly always be someone from Australia or New Zealand posting something. (That's on the polymyalgia forum, which is very active.)
