Hi. Dont know if everyone still uses this sight. But im going out of my mind. Worried sick. Ive had a mucus cough bad for about 12 months maybe longer. I find it very hard to breathe when doing the smallest of things. Ie. Stairs etc. My heart rate beats so fast and hard. My muscles feel weak. Im worried it could be lung cancer and so scared to go gp. Although im making app tomo. Just wanting to see if any of you have had or are having these problrms

It could be heart related, going trough same thing! I had a pulmonary study that showed mild obstruction. Stress test and echocardiogram on Friday for me. Let me know what doc says.

12 months is a long time. I had the coughing up phlegm for 2 months with shortness of breath. I finally went to my gp. Turned out I had a case of bronchitis. Been using an inhaler and it's made a tremendous difference.

Now I'm on an antibiotic for a bacterial infection though. Maybe something I hot from the Harvey flooding. I live in Port arthur , Texas. Seems like everything in life has just fallen apart. But , still am glad I have the in haler.

So , don't read a lot of stuff into your symptons until you see your doctor. But definitely, go to the doctor.

I think our thoughts are our worst enemy , most of the time.

When you have trouble breathing your heart rate increases to compensate, it pushes the blood faster.  You'd get the weakness too from lack of oxygen, I get those symptoms too.

It may just be an infection that you need an antibiotic for, you could have an allergy to something mundane or asthma. Don't worry and don't google because it's always the worst thing to do.

?A blood test will show an infection and an xray will show if you have fluid on your lungs, all very quick and simple. Don't be worrying stress and worry make it harder, easier said than done I know.

Hi the least likely thing it could be is lung cancer!  This is normally only diagnosed in long term smokers.  Make your appointment and see your doctor.  Let us know how you get one.  x

Just so proud that you are finally going to Dr!  It might be just an ongoing infection .   Always go to Dr rather than worry yourself for no reason.  85% of what people worry about never happen .
