Multi septated with solid elements and mural nodules ovarian cyst!!
Posted , 8 users are following.
Hi just an update of my recent scan and I'm petrified !! This is my 3 rd scan.it shows 3 small irregular cysts with thick septation and mural nodules !! The largest cyst is 20 x 14mm but overall the ovary has grown in size slightly.they have advised repeat scan in two months !!! Why why why if I have features of malignancy on the cysts are they not removing it straight away ?! Please can anyone help I'm beside myself with anxiety as I've googled solid parts, thick septations and mural nodules are high signs of malignancy.there is no blood flow to the cysts and my ca 125 was normal. please has anyone been through this ???? Thanks Michelle xxx

Although I have not gone through the exact same experience as you I can understand the frustration.
Sometimes it takes going to a few specialists to get an action plan going, the "wait and see" approach is awful and only causes more anxiety! I myself saw a few different doctors before I found one willing to remove my cyst! I would ask your GP for a referral!
Hopefully you can get the answers you need soon!

Hi....
I know this post is a little older... but I am going through the same thing. Complex Ovarian cyst with mural nodule.
Ca125 was low...20.
No ascites.
No free fluid...
But my stress level...is bad...
Hope you're well...

Hi Michelle!
Yes, thank you. I have been reading a lot here. I saw your posts... and am so glad that you're doing well. It's terrible and scary. The feeling of isolation is enormous. No one gets it. This is my last ovary. I had the right one removed 20 years ago and did not want to be thrown into a harsh surgical menopause. I figured I would get to keep my ovary but the cyst took over... No hope for me.
Now the doctor said that I MIGHT have some kind of issue with my colon. Just what I do not want to hear....
She keeps saying that she thinks this is a benign tumor. I hate the word tumor... She calls it a cystadenoma - but they only did ultrasounds, so, how should they really know?
Worst summer of my life. It's been 3 straight months of HELL.
I have hope when I read posts like yours. THANK YOU for taking the time to respond!

Didi, thank you.
Your post made me smile.
My cyst is kinda small but has suspicious traits, so.. it took over my last ovary - and now I'm going in next week to have it removed. Every moring I wake up before the birds - it's still dark out. I cry out in my room all by myself - usually God - for help. My mental state is shot.
It does not seem fair that I have to go through this - and maybe it IS cancer.... and I will die in my 50's like so many others....
I am kicking myself for not going to a gyn oncologist for a second opinion - fear took me over because my GYN said it grew a little.
Now i'm going in - and they'll take my ovary along with the cyst.... and I see nothing but symbolism all around me.
Hottest summer ever here where I live.. I saw a flower that fell from a tree today - and I picked it up. I feel as though I am like that flower... only, I am not going to be allowed to have my flowers wither and stay with me ... my last flower will be cut from me and so will all of the remaining estrogen. I was NOT in menopause yet.
Forgive my long email... just need to express my feelings and I do thank you for trying to ease my mind.
I can't wait to be over this nightmare and deal with the next phase of my life will be... I have not done one fun thing ALL SUMMER...

I was thrown into menopause at 48 and never had a problem with it.I had a previouse abdominal sugery so I had hernias that needed fixing too.I was cut from pelvic bone to breast bone. I had three doctors gyno oncologist general surgeon and a plastic surgeon to help close me as my abdominal muscles were so strectched out. The plastic surgeon took some from my sides.I probably had my cysts for years. I know how you feel I was sure mine was cancer too. I am 63 the age most women get ovarian cancer.I had a 3 cm cyst on the right side so wanted them to remove everything after that worry of cancer I didnt want to have to worry about it ever again. I feel great now. Because my cyst was huge. I had lots holes where they removed them that our body wants to fill with water. They gave me three drains two I have had removed and am waiting on the last one to slow down enought to have it removed.I am in Michigan and we are also having the hottest summer ever and im not able two swim until two weeks after my last tube is out. I am so grateful its not cancer it dosent matter. As far as estrogen I havent had any for years and I have been told I look much younger than my age so dont worry about that part of it. I will pray yours will turn out fine as well ask for prayers from friends as the more the better. As far as the colon I had part of my intestine removed years ago and im fine now. I read a lot of people had complex cyst and it was fine Try not to worry as you dont know if there is anything to worry about yet. I do know how you feel as ive been there. Most cysts arent cancerous. you can write me anytime

Thank you for sharing your experience! I'm so sorry you suffered like that but glad you're feeling great now.
I never thought I'd be going through this right now. I just can't stop the bad thoughts. I'm just so depressed.
The heat here is terrible too. No relief. I'm hiding in my cellar.
I will write more this weekend...

m so they had to fix that before they could send me home. Do you know what type surgery they plan on doing ? They have one that after two weeks your as good as new. Are you in pain at all ? Do you have a lake or ocean near you. That would be a good way to beat the heat and maybe take your mind of the surgery. Thinking of you my friend. please ignor the spelling if I fix it it erases the next letter lol

I made through... throat is sore, but pain is not bad until I try to move.
Was told and my family were told the it is benign by the look of it. Pathology will tell.
You all have been so kind to me. What would I do without you? I mean it sincerely.
This has been hard for me mentally... this site helped me. I am touched by the kindness.
I will write again when I get final word.
Love, me.

Did you have any other symptoms?? My doctor won't even consider surgery and I have three cysts with peripheral nodularity. They're 5.2, 3.9, and 3.4 and I'm hardly able to get out of bed I'm in so much constant pain. My doctor won't even prescribe pain pills which I'm okay with but I want this pain gone. 4 months and going strong ? I've been following your posts for almost four weeks and gave in to making an account. I'm glad you're doing well after surgery!

I haven't gotten a straight answer from my family.. one says it was just the cyst ..another says.. no....
My cyst took over the ovary... so, I guess they took it all.
My doctor was kind and gave hugs to my family. She made it seem like I will be okay.
Pathology will tell. It's still some scary but I know it is not in my hands.
Will try and write again soon.
Thank you

Hi
Well. No. I did not have symptoms other than I knew something was there. I felt it.
If you're worried...please talk to your doctor.
I'm hurting today but I knew I had to remove it.
Do you want it out? Do you know what type of cyst?
Guest Michellestar87

. I think it means around the edge of cyst.
