I still have trouble with muscle spasms mostly on the left side of my spine, but when I was diagnosed my Dr sent me to a physical therapist.  She used intense massage with heat and stimulation.  I asked why it wasn't working, but she laughed and said she was still trying to break up the concrete in my back.  The therapy eventually relieved the pain and spasms after the "concrete" was penetrated.  Hope you find someone to help.  I take Lyrica for my Fibromyalgia.

Hi Julia Im so sorry to hear about your accident, thats terrible, the sheer agony you must of been, in bless you. With having fibro you may find that things take longer to heal, Ive found that with me that things seem to take loner to heal and get over.Im sure your OT and the physio will help to quide you in your recovery. Rest as much as you can.Im pleased youve had acknowledgement from pip thats good it shouldnt hopefully be too long before you hear back about your face to face assessement.. Mine was done at home by a psyciatric nurse she was very nice very proffessional. it took 1hr to do she goes through the questions on the form and checks that the answears youve given are what is written on the form. she then writes a report everything gets sent to the dwp  for them to decide. it took me 6 months from start to finish I got awarded pip. I am keeping my fingers crossed that you are sucessful too. I am wishing you a speedy recovery from your accident. look after yourself thinking of you gentle hugssmile
