I can assure you that ALS muscle twitching is different from regular twitching , my husband passed away with ALS . I was jumping out of my skin thinking the same thing. ALS muscle twitching is very rapid/fast and non stop 24/7! The twitches are so rapid there is no pause in between. My daughter was the first one to notice it on my husbands upper arm and said look at that but at the time he wasn't diagnosed with ALS yet.

Donna, , don't you worry hun you will be okay! It's NOT ALS. I know telling someone not to worry is much easier said than done! This is VERY VERY hard to do it took me a long time and still I haven't totally accomplished it BUT when worry starts and all those ugly tormenting symptoms quickly get busy doing something else ANYTHING to drown out your brain alert, till it passes tell your self that you are woman and you must get through these changes and they are all normal comfort your thoughts with this even if you have to say it out loud as many times as you like , blare music , tv call someone , adult coloring books , calming sounds , texting someone ANYTHING at all...Watch funny videos YOU TUBE quickly lol but watch something that will get your attention while the storm or raging imbalance hormones pass! We must fight this tooth and nail and together 😃 You got this! Text me anytime I'm up till 3:00 AM

Yep, they come and go. I am currently dealing with an off-and-on left eye twitch and a weird twitch on the right side of my back, sort of under my bra strap. I also deal with random muscle spasms, mostly at night as I'm trying to fall asleep or in the early morning. Sometimes they feel like a whole body jerk, others it's just an arm or foot that flings to the side. Very odd.

Hi ladies. My fingers are twitching a lot lately and I seem to be dropping things as my grip is weaker. I'm also experiencing a throbbing sensation in my upper arms and my left side seems much weaker than it used to be. I'm terrified because I read that MS patients suffer from these symptoms. Has anyone else experienced these symptoms?

My left side is weaker, too. I am sometimes dropping things and sometimes say words related to what I want to say, but not the word I want to say, like, bread instead of butter.

Hi, I did experience that about a year ago. (I am 47) It was only on the left side so I was terrified I was developing ALS. The twitching stopped however, and once I noticed it in the right hand, index finger. Was very happy. I also had some of these feelings in other parts of the body, but either they are not happening now or I stopped worrying about them, but I think I have less of them now.
I take supplements. (primrose oil, fish oil, vitamin C, marmite 😃, St Johns Wort, Bach rescue spray)
