Muscle twitching and jerks

Hi. I have read a couple of places that other people experience this with peri. Just wondering if anyone has a clue as to what causes it. It was bad for about a week and then got better. Now it's back. Ugh. Such a worrisome symptom. Please again tell me I am not alone on this one!

I know it's been a while since anyone posted here, but here I am. My twitches have been going on for a week and a 1/2. I've had other signs of peri, the typical ones, but then I had Covid in April, then a stomach bug in June, then a rash immediately following, which is still happening (it may be dermatographia) and now the twitches. Started under the thumb of my left hand - that is the most consistent and the other traveling spasms/twitches. Barely slept last night. Actually felt twitching on my upper lip and nose. When I'm active, it's non existent. I have an appt with the neurologist at the end of the month because I'm making myself crazy. I test my reflexes and hand/finger strength daily. I started a new job at the onset of all this and the symptoms are taking away the joy of my work.

Thank you all for sharing your stories.

PS, I'm at the tail end of being 46. I hope 47 sees an end to this nonsense.

      Hi 2Chr2015,

I was taking Zyrtec and Quertecin, but I stopped when the twitches began. After three days I got super itchy and got on Claritin, but since Thursday I'm medication free. I have an IUD which I got replaced in April. Hopefully, last IUD and I'm taking Magnesium gummies (250 mg) and drinking chamomille tea in the evening. Trying hard to relax and act like the twitch doesn't bother me.
