Muscles twitches

Hi everyone,

For the past two months I've had almost constant twitching in my feet and calves, and have now also developed occasional random twitches in other parts of my body. Sometimes I'll even have a finger or toe jerk. (I've tried taking a magnesium/calcium combination over the past two months; no effect.)

I think I'm in perimenopause. I'm 49 years old and my periods have been extremely heavy and starting to get irregular. About two years ago I started developing pain and it has really escalated (especially in my legs), but the thing that really stresses me out is the twitching. I don't want to go the doctor with this just yet; I've already spent countless hours at doctors' offices and labs (for a facial neuralgia) and I don't want to go through that stress all over again just now.

Does anyone else get this twitching (or ever had it), and do you have any thoughts to share about it? Thanks in advance for any thoughts at all.

if youre having heavy periods that may mean estrogen dominance, i get what you describe all the time, its not ms as i have relapsing and remitting ms and its nothing like this, try epsom salts and magnesium spray x

This is me! twitching started almost two weeks ago just when i started a new job and haven't quite let up. Its mostly below my left thumb but ill feel it in my calves and toes. its so worrisome! i wonder of the twitches are connected to my dermatographia as well, which is another recent phenomenon. i feel like I'm falling apart!
