My Assessment Report arrived today

It's only me,

this big brown envelope arrived this morning, my hubby had to open it as I'm just not able to open any mail at all due to anxiety of what it might contain, it was a copy of my assessment report.  He had a quick look at it and thought it seemed pretty accurate, then handed it to me.

I must admit if the DWP go on what the doctor ticked, then it looks as if I should qualify for roughly the same as I was getting on DLA. She (the doctor) also wrote that a review is not recommended as my conditions are long standing and my functional restrictions are unlikely to improve significantly in the long term.

I'm not holding my breath as maybe the DWP won't take her word for it.

I've never had an assessment report like that, maybe ATOS & the DWP just don't like me!!

But good luck and I hope you get what you expect.

No surprise there Les, going on all your posts about the way you've been treated, which quite honestly I think is disgusting and in my opinion somewhat discriminatory.

Thank you Gill, but I did read somewhere that the decision maker often disagrees  with the assessor, wo who knows rolleyes

They can, but  a lot of the decision makers ignore all your evidence and just go by the assessers report but having the assessor on your side is a damn sight better than the assessor telling lies or playing your condition down like a lot of them do, i think it will be fine. you'll get what you hope for.

      xx

Good luck Sukes... hope you get your answer soon.

My report was so accurate, it was a really good one. The assesor recommended a review in 3 years but the DWP have gave me 5 years. So it can work both ways.

Hiya... I only waited 10 working days .I got the text to say I was entitled. So rang and found out. I got letter couple of days later. I requested my report before the decision, an received that with 3/4 days.

Thankfully my wait wasn't long.... I couldn't of coped waiting as long as some have on here.

      Good luck with yours x

It's a relief to know I'm going through the same situtation with PIP as other people so it puts me at ease abit

I know what you mean, it doesn't make you feel that you're on you own with it.

I sent for my report so that if it was a bad one, I could try and prepare for a re-consideration or whatever they call it,   I believe we have 28 days to ask for it to be looked at again and some people were saying that the report took ages to arrive.
