My doctor told me they were not addictive

I have been on this tab for about a year. Previously I was on Temazepam and my doctor wanted me off them. Zopiclone was the answer he said as it was not addictive.

All went well for a while and then little by little I began to suffer from vertigo. I thought it was a side effect of my Glaucoma and went to my doctor last week. He checked me out for a mini  stroke etc and I was ok. Finally he felt the only suggestion he could come up with was a virus.  It would pass he said. If not I should go to A and E. The vertigo is so severe I cannot go out or drive.  I do take loads of tablets for multiple conditions. Diabetes,Glaucoma,Sick Sinus Syndrome,Polymyalgia etc etc.

Yesterday my son suggested maybe I should try to cut down on some tablets as he felt I was treating my body like a chemical laboratory. Last night I went  cold turkey  without Zoplicone. It wasvery hard. I did not sleep. However, my vertigo today has been slightly better.

I have been reading these posts and it seems as if I may be on to something.

Am I ??
