I'm 30 years old. I have a unique story and unstopable heartburn, gerd over 2 years. It began very strange. First of all I felt strong burning sensation in my anus, prostate place (I made all possible sexual disease tests - all clear).

One week later I was diagnosed with candida in my genitals. After three weeks I felt sour taste in my mounth. My tongue became white/yellow. More water I drank, more burning I had. After two months of candinda treatment with flukanazole, drinking a lot of water and candida diet stuff, and clinical tests didn't show that I have candida anymore. But my organism felt not good, I still had burning sensation in my "lower" body areas which became more well when I droped candida diets.

From the begining in three months I lost 1/4 of my body weight. But my

tongue looked not good, I had terrible gerd and very big burning in my mouth. Gastroendoscopy showed nothing exept one healed erosion in the stomach. H. pylori test was negative. I have never eat a lot of junk food in my life

Today my conditions getting worse and worse and run out of money on various medical tests and consultations. Nearly all the symptoms remains the same as it was from begining. I sent my saliva couple times to laboratory for candida testing, and results were negatives. But if I do "home candida test" spitting saliva into the glass in the morning, I see big mass of white cloudy content. Actually my saliva white cloudy all the day.   I can't gain weight, sleep 5-6 hours and wake up but sleeping is not deep because of gerd burning, so feel tiried. Even drinking a glass of water provocate big heartburn.

On February this year, my stomach was tested one more time. So today, after a year results: several erosions in esophagus, gastritis and erososion in stomach, intestinal metaplasia, H. Pylori - negative, and A LOT OF STOMACH ACID MIXED WITH BILE IN THE STOMACH (!!!). BEFORE GASTROENDOSCOPY I DO NOT EAT ALL NIGHT AND HALF OF DAY(!!! how can a lot of acid be there???). I was prescribed omeprozal 20mg twice per day, but I think it gives just 20% of releaf. All these 2 years I just feel a bit better after eating - then burning stops about 80% for 2-3 hours. And I feel better after bigger meal (pizza, several pankakes, pasta). Diet food makes me feel much worse. Spicy food affect me not much I think, but i try not to eat such things. All day long I feel burning mouth, especially when I am hungry. I think stomach generate acid all the time and more than need. Even a glass of water provocate GERD. Then I band over, I feel that burning sensation ir my mouth became much greater.

My organism just generates acid, and I can't control it. I understand that I need to take medications, but it's just makes my symtomps weaker, but do not affect root of cause of the disease.

My story is not typical. So I'm looking for the help here. Maybe there are

people who knows or guess what is going on with me and could give an advice. Maybe I'm not alone here with such situation. Any thoughts would be very appriciated.

have you tried drinking cabbage juice several times a day your need a juicer

apparently this is amazing for the stomach ,and even cures stomach ulcers.

maybe worth also looking into a akalin diet .  .

i would look up a registered homeopath to, they take all your symptoms in to consideration and treat the whole person not just your symptoms getting your body back in balance is whats needed ,

are you filtering your water or are drinking bottled . tap water is full of chemicals which will only make matters worseeek

I heard about cabbage juice is good for stomach especialy when you have ulcers. But I didn' try. Does it good for heartburn as well?

Actually I run out of money doing all my tests and visiting doctors. I aggree that heartburn is a sympthom and the root cause is in another place. But how to find out it by myself... I tried to read internet all this time, but unfortunately the solutions is not seen

I drink several months alkaline water of PH8 from my local store. But it impact me as other kind lower PH containing waters.

And I thought my gastritis was unique... Weird stuff still happens with me but this definitely not your average gastritis. However, I think your diet has definitely has a part to play in it. I believe I have kinda the same as you in terms of diet. Whenever I eat pizza and other junk stuff I don't feel bad at all afterwards. It's only after a day or two it starts churning stuff up in my stomach. When I first started my gastritis diet I didn't feel good with it for a week or two. The progress is definitely slow.

The best way to counter all those is plain and simple: PPI (omeprazole) and a strict diet. Mind that improvements tend to take a lot of time and one small mistake will make you feel bad for a week. 3 months in and I'm still struggling with it. Although I feel 65-70% better.

For some homemade remedies, try the suggestion of tiswas: cabbage juice. You might bad with for a few days but it's gonna relieve the pain very quickly and help heal your stomach faster.

Right now I took 20mg omeprozole in morning. Maybe it helps, but only max 20%. Last week I tried a diet... But it seems my digestion stopped. I felt terrible. Every morning I woke up with heavy sore mouth. Then I leaned over to brush my teeths in the morning I felt even more nasty taste in mouth.

Yes I aggree that diet should help, and your preposition to use PPI with a diet is a simple but also briliant idea. I see second vote for cabbage juice - worth to try also. How many should I consume per day?

Once you get on PPI (omeprozole, etc) it's extremely difficult to get off.  I'm just starting omeprozole, and have decided on a completely different strategy ... first getting rid of my candida, and then increase my stomach acid during meals (betain hcl), process and flush out the stomach as fast as possible (ginger before, ACV before and after each one, lots of extra water), massive dietary change, sleep at incline mattress with wedge, strenuous exercise routine.  So glad I discovered this other protocol.  If that fails ... PPI's will always be there ... but it's a life sentence with lots of downsides.

Remember it can take up to 3 days for food to pass through, so not necessarily what you eat on day one will effect you immediately, but day two or three it could.

Actually I never thought that an efect of eating certain types of food could reveal after several days... But it makes sense.

Arthur....I had a lot of the same problems, but I'm cured now by taking PROBIOTIC supplements. One capsule a day 50 Billion live cultures a day. Find them in refrigerator at a health food store. My probiotics are called Ultimate Flora Probiotics 50 Billion "critical care" dose.

I have taken probiotics maybe 4 months. One/two capsules per day. Right know using Digestive Bliss probiotics. They have 4 bilions of good bacteria. Also capsule is made to react only then it reaches intestines (a lot of probiotics just die in stomach juices).

50 Billions is a lot more. Maybe need to try... Do you take only probiotics or and some others supplements, special diet?

    Dear Arthur,

Try surfing the net for info on "bile reflux".

    Take care and good luck.

I have read a lot about it. But as I understood (my English is quite pour) there is no option how to cure it. Only some kind of operations exists, but I am not sure or don't undestood if it can help in my case.

      Am I wrong?

I have a theory, that bile could enter a stomach and make it higher PH, then body will release more acid to neutralize bile and make environment more acidic. But it is not medicaly proven nowhere.

Also my tongue could be covered not with candida but with some bile.

I have bile in my stomach as I was said after gastroendoscopy. Also my heartburn symptoms is less when I walk. Maybe it pushes to the stomach when I sit. And my spine is not very good shape.

Hi Arthur - reckon Jenny and Freds advice is spot on and well worth following up. I would suggest you research burning mouth syndrome - particularly Mayo Clinic. You can fix this with 800 milligrams of alpha lipoic acid (fantastic supplement). Dont let your problems get you down and run a mile from any doc who tries to tell you that you have a mental issue. It takes about 12 months to get this out of your system.

This is a very new theory and approach. I just a little bit read about burning mouth syndrome in the begining of my ilness, but is it connected in any way with heartburn and GERD?

About alpha lipoic acid I didn't read anywhere. Besides Mayo clinic website is very informative source of gastro disease.

Stress can be ideal environment for GERD. But if it's from stress you will recover. Of cource it needs a lot of time from such disaster and you should not fight it alone. You should visit doctor for sure. Also take a look into relaxation and stress control technics.
