My wife needs abdominal help

Starting in October of 2016 she would tell me she felt like her ovaries are trying to claw their way out just before her period, as soon as the flow started pain was gone. November was the same. December was the same except for December was spotting not really any flow. January 2017 started with upper right side abdominal pain and swelling and no period. Pain and swelling continued into February. Now we're in March and still pain and swelling and no answers. In addition to the pain and swelling in the upper right, she says sex is very painful but only on the right side of the vaginal canal( same with obgyn pelvic exam) we've been through countless blood tests, cat scans, ultra sounds, hidascans, EGD scope(upper GI) x-rays, and now exploratory laparoscopy. Doctors are all saying everything looks just as it should. Obgyn wants to treat with birth control pill, shot, or iud. The pill enduces sever depression and anxiety for her and she had the copper iud for a few months a while back and would bleed for 3 out of 4 weeks every month. So we don't want to go any of those routes. We need answers soon we're both going nuts!!! Any of you ladies have anything similar or the same and successful answers? We would greatly appreciate some input

Well I think we have finally found the answer to the wife's abdominal pain!! About 3 weeks ago we met with anothe gynecologist and he was very attentive to the issues and our concerns. We took the photos from the exploratory surgery with us they the first gyno took and stated that " she has the most normal looking abdomen I've ever seen"

Followed by pushing birth control agains our wishes. Nonetheless the new doctor looked at the pictures for a minute and noticed the appendix was inflamed a bit and the uterine ligaments were swollen indicating endometriosis... three days later she was in the operating room undergoing Da Vinci appendectomy and hysterectomy and ever since then has been pain free!!! Her uterus and appendix were sent to pathology and the results came back as light appendicitis ( it was also tangled in her small bowe which the two were basically strangling one another) and the uterus was diagnosed with adenomyosis and cervix had endocervitis. With all of the we are approaching 4 weeks post op and completely pain free and high hopes that pain free continues followed by back to what should be normal adult activities lol. Thank you all for your ideas and encouragement and hopefully this info might be helpful to someone else some day!!
