Name your 'Gammy' bit.

The idea behind this is to create a list of all those faulty bits that we suffer with so much.

Please try to keep it to a one-liner, and then at the end we should be left with a list of those things that are wrong with us (both humerous and otherwise) that drive each one of us mad.

      Hello Georgia,

What type of IBS do you have ,is it the D type or the C type, and how do you deal with it ,does it stop you from wanting to eat out ?

      xx

I don't deal with them very well. Mostly it's agrophobia about going out because people can be so cruel so I prefer to be a hermit and hide away from them. Abused as a youngster you can probably guess. But I'm not as timid as this admission might make me appear to be. cool cheesygrin

I was never told what type of IBS it was, I was given tablets which I forget the name of, er, doh, I'm listening to music and my brain's focused on that. Anyway I found that the right foods and herbs really helped instead of those duh that I can't remember.

You're the first person I've heard say about numb Tis. I was having a rare energetic day, thought I was Hercules, so I went in the garden and starting strimming. My right arm went numb and dead for hours, I couldn't move it at all. I've tried strimming only once since. Wasn't a good outcome either, so much pain.

I believe that sometimes a bit of laughter in our lives can lift some of the misery.

So here is a special joke for the ladies:

The pastor asked if anyone in the congregation would like to express

      praise for answered prayers.

Suzie Smith stood and walked to the podium.

She said, "I have a praise. Two months ago, my husband, Tom, had a terrible bicycle accident and his scrotum was completely crushed. The pain was excruciating and the doctors didn't know if they could help him.

" You could hear a muffled gasp from the men in the congregation as they imagined the pain that poor Tom must have experienced.

"Tom was unable to hold me or the children," she went on, "and every move caused him terrible pain.

" We prayed as the doctors performed a delicate operation, and it turned out they were able to piece together the crushed remnants of Tom's scrotum, and wrap wire around it to hold it in place.

" Again, the men in the congregation cringed and squirmed uncomfortably as they imagined the horrible surgery performed on Tom. "Now," she announced in a quivering voice, thank the Lord, Tom is out of the hospital and the doctors say that with time, his scrotum should recover completely.

" All the men sighed with a unified relief.

The pastor rose and tentatively asked if anyone else had something to say.

A man stood up and walked slowly to the podium.

      He said, "I'm Tom Smith."

The entire congregation held its breath.

"I just want to tell my wife the word is sternum."

      Boom, boom

Well I do believe that humour is one of the greatest gifts that we can have.

Laughing at ourselves also helps a lot, as does sharing laughter with others.

Whilst I am now retired, I still do voluntary work that brings me into regular contact with people who are struggling with abject misery in their lives.

I learned some years ago that if I could somehow help them through their bleak patch with a little laughter, then I had made a small contribution to lifting their spirits and maybe their lives.

Oh, and by the way, yes I do enjoy the humour of the people that you have mentioned -  lol

      Likewise ,

I found that when I ate some foods it would bring it on ,and yet other times I could eat that same food ,and it would be ok,it is so un predictable.Like you I find foods that I like can be the culprit, but I do tend to allow myself a little at a time ,hoping it doesnt set it off .Mutton is classed as red meat Tiswas,
