Hi Ladies, how have you guys handled the nausea and the mood swings. The nausea is EVERY Day.
How do you know if you are now in menopause as opposed to perimenopause

Hi lenie95046. I was wondering if you've had any relief from your daily nausea? I too have had nausea every morning for 8 months now. I've had multiple tests/scans, but all normal except VERY low estrogen & high FSH. Not diagnosed as menopause yet, but it's my only abnormal test so far. I'm at the end of my rope, so will try anything (HRT) if that takes the nausea away. I've lost 20 pounds so far because I lose my appetite too. I really hope you're feeling better!

Renee;
How are you doing with your nausea. I have been period free for 11 months. Looking back my nausea started last December, came back in April, then in August, September, October so it's been really persistant lately.
All labs perfect. Had an abdominal ultrasound and well as vaginal 2 years ago and nothing found either.
I have an occasional ACHE here or there but this nausea is killing me one day at a time.

Hi lenie95046,
Just want to say thank you for posting this. I also am struggling with nausea. All my other girlfriends in menopause aren't experiencing this so I wasn't sure this was from menopause or not. I appreciate you posting. I don't feel so alone.

I am 55 and still get fairly regular periods.
I have hardly no appetite and that might be the only good thing about it that i might loose weight!
I read somewhere that not eating makes it worse. It said to eat smaller meals eg crackers. To be honest i feel bloody terrible.
I have some crystallized ginger and will try that.
Its making everything i do so much harder.
Over being a woman right now.

I've just started experiencing nausea and it's awful. The only way I can describe it is morning sickness 24/7. I have periods every 3 months (50) and this last one has been long 10 days and counting ... with the nausea thrown in for good measure. Anxiety is through the roof having convinced myself it is something much more sinister.... got to be linked to the fact I am having this weird period right ? I also suffered badly from morning sickness when pregnant so I am assuming it's connected ... not liking this little symptom at all !!!!

hi everyone, I have specifically created an account here just to reach out to everyone and thank you for your posts about nausea in menopause. I am 53 and normally would consider myself an intelligent and 'together' person - mother, wife, full time working professional. last period 9 months ago and blood tests show that menopause has fully clicked in -actually registering as post menopausal. the most challenging part of menopause for me has been the nausea. it has been like morning sickness. no vomitting but nausea. sometimes it sort of goes away for a few days and then it is back. It has certainly increased my anxiety and i've had all the blood tests and abdominal and pelvic scans which come back as normal. of course we worry about a sinister reason in this case, and the menopause associated anxiety makes that worse. Ive tried 2 good doctors. everyone says nausea is not a part of menopause. i feel as if i am normally in tune with my body and it feels like it must be hormonal but it is stressful and unpleasant. i have occasional hot flushes but i can manage everything else. i use ginger tablets and pressure bands on my wrists. it helps a little but just as a band aid solution.i am not on medication or HRT. i tried vaginal topical oestrogen cream for a month and that is when the bad daily nausea really kicked in - i've now stopped it because i am sure that my body did not like the oestrogen - even although they say that it doesn't get into your system. In fact, my husband (fabulous supporter in this) found out that nausea is one of the top side affects of those creams. The dr said it was not. a month after stopping it the nausea is still there almost daily. i hope this post helps all those women who turn to the internet, like i have, in desperation, trying to get validation that nausea is really something real in menopause, when we can't find any other cause. i have been shocked and dismayed that there is so little information on the menopause out there - and so little understanding about it.I am forever grateful to all who post here, when i get a wobbly and the nausea makes me scared. Wishing you a good day.
