Neck pain, dizziness, light-headed...help!

Hello,
The neckpain I have been experiencing for several years now (chiropractor helped but as of last year stopped helping my pain), the dizziness came on last fall and stopped me from going on my usual jogs. Then came the light headed feeling (yay, not!). I tried taking pain killers (Ibprofen), getting blood work done, cat scan, and all that jazz. Never had I seen my doctor so much or racked up my medical bill. I am currently seeing a phyiscal therapist for my neck pain (helping somewhat), but the dizziness continues. I am seeing an ear, nose, and throat specialist but they are booked until mid-May (another downer!). I am so beyond frustrated because people really don't get when I say "I have bad days and ok days". I can't even work out without feeling like I am going to pass out and I can hardly keep up with my daughter. I want myself back and the doctors are not helping and I just want to feel relief. Someone please enlighten me.

Hi ,
I am suffering all these from 14 months . I was diagnosed with brain cavernoma and the docs confirmed my symptoms are not related to cavernoma . So after 14 months I have realized that we need to follow one thing holistically for 3 months and then shift to a new process , it's not going to be fixed in 7-15 days time and needs a lot of patience . Dont worry much and have your anxiety under control .
Check for
Any vitamins deficiency
Neuro mascular massage ( check for scm muscle)
brain Ct scan
ear test (vng test )
eye checkup by a ratinalogist
Vertical heterophoria
Try medicines for sometime from doctors but make sure u don't get addicted .

I just started getting Dizzy about 2 weeks ago when I stand up(sometimes) and when I strain my neck(most of the time). I finally started my search to find a solve after the simple things have not worked(Drink more water, stop taking supplements, air purifier etc.). I dont think my situation is as severe as what I have read in here, but maybe I can be used as a trial balloon for some to solve one of, what appears to be multifaceted conditions. I don't have neck pain. I do get headaches often, which I am almost positive that are caused by vision and can be fixed by getting a new prescription. I will try, after reading here, cutting out caffeine and salt. I have noticed my heart rate seems to be higher than I think is normal(just an assumption/not measured) and maybe its perception after others have suggested it may be high blood pressure. I get dizzy when I put stress on my neck like when I lay down(only as I am laying down) or when I am under a sink putting in a new faucet, laying on my side and using my muscles to hold up my neck to see what I am doing. I have the feeling(Not medically trained in the slightest) it is a blood flow to my brain issue. I will see a doctor this week and post my results. Any recommendations will be appreciated and responded to if warranted. Where is HouseMD when you need him?

i am a plumber and experience the same sensation while under a sink or drinking fountain, straining my neck. Was wondering if you had received any further medical attention or diagnoses?
Thanks

Hi Tony, (legal stuff: I am not a Dr., You should go to a Medically Trained Professional) This has worked for me - I went and got a earwax removal kit, with the rubber sucker/squirter thing. Washed out my ears about 3 times, then put a few drops of peroxide in each ear. It seems to have worked for a couple of weeks, but I did notice the dizziness slightly appear a few days ago, so if it proceeds I imagine I will need to go get some type of prescription ear drops from a Dr. I guess its some type of ear infection, but I have never had any related issue before. I stopped using Q-Tips, because "They" say they are bad for you and I think that I just haven't been cleaning my inner ears enough since I hung up the Q-Tips. Hope this helps. If it comes back and I have to go to the Dr., I will update. I feel like a wuss compared to some of the posts in here, because my issue is not even close to the same level.

My dizziness did return and after trying every other thing possible, I found out that I was taking too much Iodine. I did suffer from a Traumatic Brain Injury back in 2003, but I don't know if that in combination with the Iodine was causing some type of Brain and/or Blood issue making me Dizzy. I just know when I stopped taking too much Iodine my dizziness Stopped.

I had an "electrical" tingle runnup.the side of my head into my ear, I got light headed and it took my breath away, it also took my legs out from under me. That was 3 years ago. I have had every test possible, I've had a neck surgery, nerve freezes, nerve blocks, ect..... Can't walk without a cane, I have closed my salon, I don't drive anymore, I am in constant pain, and have double vision 80% of the time.

Finally a doc of my parent took my chart read the HUGE thing front to back n had me come in said he was going to order 1 test and if i passed out he knew what it was so i went to the test it was a Tilt Table test a table they strap you to and tilt you fwd while taking your BP they also do iv ro speed heart rate if needed like a stress test. Anyway long story short i passed out went back to doc for result I have
Neuro Cardiac Syncope basically my Bp is always low (my norm 90/60 ) when i go to sit up- stand up from laying down or sitting my blood pools in my legs n feet and sosnt have the circulation to pump back up my body to my brain IE all the symptoms including passing out. I am to eat alot of greens and increase my salt intake if they tell me 1 more time to increase salt i might as well eat the salt shaker lol. There are 1 meds to take for this but they made me realllllly sick so i cant take them so iv just been dealing with this for almost 13 yrs iv learned my body i know when im getting weak to sit same with dizzy and oh also i feel like my heart is beating so fast and hard but it never showed on bp or heart monitors nothing.. so basically just learn your body n adjust to it it dose wipe me out especially the next day i could sleep for days n not feel rested just a 10 min episode and the days when im busy n try n push threw those are hard n i regret it later but its life n i just push threw.

I've been having BPPV for 2 yrs. I've gone to the PT for the Epley (approx 30 times), the ENT, had a MRI and Chiropractor. I stumbled across a Crainologist in the Los Gatos, Calif area. After a hour
consultation with him, i opted for treatments. He immediately relieved the pain across
my right jaw, the burning sensation across the back of my neck, made a neck adjustment
and for the first time in 10 yrs i could turn left. He told me I was a Clencher and had TMJ.
The frequent BPPV episodes were most likely from the pinching of a nerve from my neck
to my ear. He didn't think the pinching of the nerve was permament. I see him once a month for touch ups. I still had periods of a floating sensation and had one vertigo issue in the past 4 months
as I woke up in a bad position. I use a rolled up towel under my neck for support at night. My next
choice is acupuncture.
