Need cheering up.

I'm cold, 'achey' and bored.   What do you lot do to cheer yourselves up on a miserable day?

There's a lot I COULD do - ironing (I hate it)😡, dusting, balcony needs sorting out, could even go for a short walk (can only manage 20 minutes) but it's raining.😏

Any suggestions?!?

Yes horrid morning! Very lowering! To make it worse I am seeing a nutritionist this morning and she's bound to take me off all my favourite things! Will have a coffee before I go!!

Add a chocolate biscuit to that - it might be your last chance before she/he stops all the good things.🍾🍸🍷🍕🍹

Housework in any shape or form is a definite No-No as a cheerer-upper rolleyes   Depending on what your interest are, something creative can be stimulating and get you 'in the zone' when time flies by .. I take lots of photos and spend hours  photoshopping them and putting them on Flickr;   turn on some lively music and have a bit of a jig around the room is good for about 10 minutes and gets the circulation going, or tai chi from YouTube (makes you feel virtuous!)  Cooking something delicious/ambitious listening to the Beach Boys (yep, child of the '60s) for a sunny vibe.  Feet up, and a really good long read, followed by a walk because by then the sun will be coming out (it nearly always does towards the end of the day, very frustrating, but evening walks are good for sleep!)  Think I may have outstripped your patience by now - Enjoy your day biggrin

Decided to go out for lunch with daughter's in-laws.  Sounds better than posh mash and cheese that I had planned.😀

A glass of red wine with that lunch will help.... Good anti inflammatory too.  Enjoy🍷😄

    What about a movie?

I find it so difficult to watch in the daytime! But why not!!?

Watching movies or tv is my 'afternoon' passtime.  I am 78 so after lunch it's feet up, coffee and brandy in hand.  Boredom solved!  💐

Why not take a train ride? I am at the Stockholm Central Station on my way to Gävle 1 1/2 hour northeast of Stockholm. When I left Gothenburg it looked like rainy weather but we have had sunshine all the way. Will visit att son and three grandchildren. This is a nice way to spend a Friday after a week of rain. In the weather reports they often say that the bad weather comes from the British Isles (due to the winds). Have a nice weekend all of you.

That''s one thing I haven't tried yet with my rollator.  Husband not keen to try either - doesn't fancy getting the thing on to and off a perhaps crowded train.

I've been cheered by all the replies - THANK YOU EVERYONE!

I love Stockholm! So historical and with such lovely waterways. I really enjoyed the boat trips I've had. I went there on a cruise and the journey through the waterways approaching and departing Stockholm was beautiful. Sorry to hear you've had bad weather. It's pouring with rain here so you'll probably get that too!

I like Stockholm too but this time I just waited in the station. People in Gothenburg (my city) and Stockholm make jokes about each others. We say we live in the front side of Sweden. There is a joke where you ask what is the best thing about Stockholm. The answer is the train to Gothenburg. People in Stockholm probably have similar jokes about us. Now I have reached Gävle with son and grandchildren
