Need cheering up.

I'm cold, 'achey' and bored.   What do you lot do to cheer yourselves up on a miserable day?

There's a lot I COULD do - ironing (I hate it)😡, dusting, balcony needs sorting out, could even go for a short walk (can only manage 20 minutes) but it's raining.😏

Any suggestions?!?

Oh Dear, I hate days like that.  Forget about housework full stop.  It will wait for you.  If you have a good book then lose yourself in it.  Oh just read that you are going out with daughter in laws YIPEEEEEEEEEE.  The Gods are looking down on you lol.  Enjoy your lunch it's just what the Dr. ordered.  Regards Pat

I always think that as long as the house is relatively tidy in case unexpected visitors turn up at the door (perish the thought!), the dusty shelves and ornaments can wait. I've got a really forgiving carpet in the lounge, which although is cream, has lots of coloured "speckled bits" which mask anything dropped on it until I feel like vacuuming.

I agree with you about the housework...it can wait

True friends don't come to see if the housework is done or not, they come for tea and conversation!

if they don't like the look of the house.............invite me over!

Um - you aren't sugar, you won't dissolve in rain wink   No such thing as bad weather - just the wrong clothing! It is a bit warmer I suppose but here everyone just carries on but carrying an umbrella - even riding their bikes!

I get out my firbre tip pens and my colouring book and put on Radio 4.

Coffee beside me and the whole world becomes a better place.

Best thing a 13 year old ever told me about and said, 'Just try it' and gave me a few pens and one of her half-finished books.

Stress disappears as you colour in a page of flowers, with a tree house in and butterflies. You are back to you childhood days when you drew matchstick people, odd houses etc.  Nothing like it for me.

You're joking!   With my fingers and wrists there would be a squeegey mess everywhere!!😟  Think I'll just BUY some flowers, feet up on reclyner, and look at Pride and Prejudice (again!)

Just returned from a very good lunch, so boredom gone.😀

Those colouring books are great! I make greetings cards as a hobby and enjoy the colouring in bits. It's lovely and relaxing and feels like a carefree childhood all over again. All my friends and family have been receiving homemade cards as I've had more time to sit down and get them made. I've got some lovely gel pens which look really vibrant when they dry.

Nothing cheers as well as good food and pleasant company. I find that always works for me. Glad your spirit has been lifted.

constance.de, Pride and Prejudice, I do not know how many times I have watched P&P with my wife, she has two different versions, I like the long one the best. I follows the novel the closest. Great way to spend a dismal afternoon. Smile 🙂

It's really therapeutic and restful and allows the mind to drift away... Lots of daydreaming and relaxation. :-)

      Enjoy!

      Cpmstance have you tried Flexiseq.

I tired it for my osteo knee and found that has you have to wait 10 minutes whilst it is sinking in, my fingers became more flexible,  It works like WD40 (biological)
