Nerve Block

I sprained my ankle,hair line fracture on the Fibula torn tendons and legaments back in Jan of 2013 have been dianoised with RSD and Dr. wants to do a Nerve Block I'm scared to death thinki g about a needle in my back and I've heard it doesnt always work

What are your thoughts ??

    Well I had my first Lumbar Nerve Block all went well lasted abut two days about 4 weeks later had a second one didnt do much either but now I have pain in my lower back Dr mentioned having another one and to also read up on a SCS
