New Canadian discussion site👍

Hi,  I've had some trouble with changing my email address but the issue is resolved and I've been doing some catch up.

I may have missed previous posts on this but Ptolemy has set up a discussion site for Canadians with PMR/GCA.  It is pretty basic right now but, depending on the response, changes can be made to make it prettier.

Both Lodger and Eileen have offered their support and I think it is a great beginning for us.

Hugs, Diana🌸

If I can help at all, please count me in.  I have a number of other conditions alongside PMR/GCA - including OA, Fibromyalgia and  secondary adrenal insufficiency - and have been on steroids for some 14 years or so.

    Always willing to help.

Hello Canada - this is the US calling in !

It is great to see how we are all reducing the size of the PMR "World" and feeling better about ourselves by introducing more connections.

I recently set up the PMR in the USA Yahoo Group which is also on the Patient 'list' if you want to see us and I'm so pleased to see more countries joining in.

"Patient" has been such a help to me, and I'm so happy to see others benefiting from our connections - it feels like such a close family.

Let's keep supporting each other - no matter our age, location or gender.

    Thanks everyone,

    Dave

      Hi there US of A😊!!

I can't imagine how I could possibly get through this challenging journey with PMR without the Patient UK forum. I am so appreciative of their support and all the knowledge they collectively share.

I think all people with PMR/GCA will benefit from us extending our "family".  It would be really wonderful to meet some people that might live close enough to meet personally. I also think that, in many cases, we can be of help to our medical professionals by sharing the information we have available as well as our own personal experiences. These are disorders that afflict many people but, until you have PMR or GCA, few people have heard of them.

Have a great, pain free weekend!

      Diana🌸
