New hip setting off the alarms in shops

Anyone else had this?

Been Christmas shopping today and in and out of various shops, every time I went through the security thingies near the door, I set the alarm off!

    I don't fly very often - hate it, and I always seem to be the last one running through as it is, so yes maybe a little more time is the key.

    i just thought it was funny to be setting off alarms 😂

    I was given a card exactly for this purpose to show that I do indeed have an implant

      My surgeon's office gave it to me before I left the hospital.

      You used to get them from the joint registry I think - but they stopped doing them - a great shame I think.  

      I'll just have to have my X-Ray picture with me.  If I can reduce it to passport sized print, I should still be able to make out my full name & birth date which are on the original.
