Has anyone got success stories they can share? I know its early days but when should i start seeing little improvement? I've never been on citalopram before - i have sertraline but havent been on anything for 1 year now. Thanks x

I'm on day 8 of 10mg and I have very disruptive dizziness. I so still have big panic attacks, as I'm taking it for those. I've felt absolutely no improvement and quite factually worse. I've always felt very disturbed by pills as they alter your brain with man made chemicals but we have to wait 2 months before ANY improvements? lol just give me a xanax and let's call it a day. Fed up with this.

it's normal to feel worse before better for the first 4-6 weeks x then by about 8 weeks you should start to see some improvements x it really takes a long time x

      hey.

the early signs are gonna be sleeping better and an increase in appetite. that's for most people not all.

then you might start to notice you will be a little more chatty or interested in a conversation or a documentary or a song ect ect.

you will slowly notice your physical symptoms becoming more bearable. and less distressing. you might notice you are thinking about anxiety less and you can think about normal everyday things.

everything will become a little easier and less daunting.....eventually your anxiety/depression will be clearing up.

then you will realise you arent as anxious and depressed or teary, irritable, and have a more positive outlook.

eventually you'll be feeling a lot better.

bear in mind this can take a long long time so keep a diary so you can track how you feel and see positive things happening.

you will feel worse some days than others and these are blips and completely normal and happen to everybody in recovery.

its individual how long it will take. could be weeks. could be months until you are back to normal.

it might not happen in that order

you will know because you will be feeling a little bit better each as time goes by. you will have minutes of feeling better, then hours, then days, then weeks. it's all up and down until it settles completely.

changing dose can upset this as you reset the clock for recovery when you change dose.

      hope that helps 😊
