Newly diagnosed with Fibromyalgia

Hey, very new to this site so not sure how it all works yet. I'm 23 and I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia last week after Rheumatologist ruled out all other diseases. Not going to lie, I'm finding it quite tough - especially as I have a small child to look after too. My symptoms are mainly just joint related ie, very stiff in the morning all over my body (walking like I have wooden legs), very clicky joints (almost as if they part-dislocate sometimes, especially my elbows) and I also get tired really easily. My main problem at the minute though are my very sore feet. My job involves me being on my feet up to 9hrs somedays and it's agony! (My Rheumatologist suggested I may need a career change) BUT I really don't want to leave if I don't have to. The pain in my feet (heel and ankle pain especially) often makes me feel sick it hurts so bad. Even co-codamols don't touch it. Anyone else with the same/similar problem with their feet? Will it go, like all the other symptoms that seem to 'move' around my body.  I'm on 10mg of some anti-depressant (can't remember the name, begins with an 'A') at night.

Thanks

Please check to see if you have a gene problem.  Hemochromatosis- with C282y . I have much pain because in inheriting this. I have " Celtic Hands" from this bad boy gene! Always check your labs! I was diagnosed with many disorders or none.. all in my head for years. Pay special attention to look at your hands to see lumps under skin on palm of hands. It gets progressively worse. Mine aren't bad now, but Dr. told me I had tendinitis !! The lumps don't hurt but will after they grab on and pull on your fingers like Rhematoid arth..

I need some advice! Ok I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. I saw a podiatrist and she decided a cortisone shot would be helpful. So I got the shot and it pretty much did nothing! Then I went to another podiatrist and got custom made insoles and I have been wearing them daily. Well, I’m still living on Tramadol and Motrin and my doctor prescribed Gabapentin. I swear my legs now feel like stiff wood planks! And they ache and feel like they are being squeezed to death! I have never had this problem ever! I feel and look like I’m 90 when I’m walking! I’m only 47 and I’m falling apart! Does this sound like fibromyalgia to anyone? I do have a very physical job and am on my feet 8 hours a day but never felt like his before! Thanks in advance for any and all advice smile

I think you might have fibromyalgia because it sounds very similar to what everyone is saying. I have just posted some suggestions for what is working for me. please see my other post.

    Hello Everyone,

I've been dealing with most of the things everyone is talking about...the stiff feet and ankles when I get out of bed and even after sitting for 20 mins it happens. I have thumb problems and my arms become so tight I can't use my hands. I have found much pain relief using natural supplements. I use Kaparrest and turmeric and they really bring down the inflammation in my joints and make my life more bearable. Other things that help some is moringa leaf and aloe vera juice. I believe some issues are healed bu staying away from sugar and flour or any grain products. I am purchasing an infared sauna from vital saunas. They have a sauna that has the full spectrum far, mid and near infared, maganet therapy, light therapy etc... I hope this will improve my health. Another good sauna company is sunlighten but is even expensive. Be careful if you decide to buy a sauna. You will want low EMF's, infared wavelengths over .95% and no toxic wood or materials in the walls (ie.not pressboard or plywood, or toxic glues) that can heat up and make you sicker. I do not work for any sauna companies but have recently done major researching to find a safe sauna. I hope to not ever have to use medication if I can help it. I also believe one of the keys to relieve besides getting rid of inflammation is getting the toxins out of your body through cleanses and eating healthier....lots more fruits and vegetables. less milk and meats etc...  Please post things that work so can learn from each other.

    Thank you smile
