I am retiring at the end of this year and I am hoping to be in great shape knee wise for a visit to Aruba. It will be a wonderful change from Canada at that time f the year...and the I want to keep going and going! Been a long bloody time with those dreadful knees. Since 1985 was the start of it.

It'a Caribbean country. We have a niece and fam moving there next month. I just know it's small warm all year round with beautiful beaches! I can feel my toes in the sand and some cold juice in my hand.

      Hi Anne07663,

      Aruba looks Idyllic.

Dutch, I never knew the Dutch owned any Islands outside of Holland.

It looks absolutely perfect and is outside of hurricane territory.

Your niece is very lucky. Hope you get there soon and enjoy it greatly.

      Best wishes,

      Alan

      Hi Anne,

I really have to think about it.

I live in Wicklow and I love walking the hills, the forests and the beaches.

I have been very fortunate to have travelled widely over the years.

I have been thinking about it, since I put up the question....Canada, Alaska, come to mind.

Caribean or South Pacific Islands all appeal to me, but leave it with me and I will pick one place and post it later.

I'm looking forward to walking my 2 dogs on the beach again, I miss taking them out so much, and having to rely on friends to take them walkies

      Hi Debbie,

It is great to hear someone happy in their own environment.

It won't be long until you are walking and playing with your dog's, even running on your beach☺

Debbie that is what I am so looking forward to as well. There are a couple lovely parks near where I live and my wee dog cannot wait till I take her back there to roam and walk. She gets quite sad when I go out for my wee dander without her.
