No stock of orlistat !!!!

Hi, i'm also new to the website. my doctor gave me a prescription for Orlistat last month as i have been struggling with my weight. i was diagnosed with an under active thyroid and so am on medication for that but still i cant budge the weight. when the doctor gave me this prescription for Orlistat i was overjoyed and couldnt wait to get to the chemist, only to be totally disappointed when the chemist said this wont be available until at least Augus and maybe longert. i have tried ringing around but to no avail. my daughter is getting married in october and i am desperate to get into my wedding outfit and also to feel more healthy. my metabolism doesnt work the way it should - in the meantime does anyone have any solutions on how best to get my metabolism working better - i have tried all kinds of diets but i'm having no joy. looking forward to any replies. Miss desperate......

I went into my chemists on friday and asked if there was any more updats and they told me they don't think it will be back in stores until next year! I wish we knew for definate what is happening

My family lives in America and I have asked my mom did she see any at our Local Walmart and she said yes, so I'm gonna ask her to buy me some and send it over. I saw some on the net in America, do you think it's a good idea to purchase over the net or just let my mom get it for me?

@ Toady thats great news! Personally I would let you family get it, at least you know what you are getting is the real thing. If you ordered off the internet it could have absolutly anything in it.

i went to 2 chemists in my area on friday. one chemist had only recieved enough orlistat to cope with what they owed customers so went to another on the off chance that i might get some and low and behold they had one box left. i had only been without orlistat for 3 days. so all i can say is just keep trying the chemists as it does seem that these tablets are slowly starting to come back in stock..... btw im from southend in essex..... :-)

@fender_gurl, I think I will let mommie get it for me, I checked at walmart .com and they had plenty in all the stores around my area, I don't understand why America can get it there and it's not here? It's $49.00 for a starter pack and $59.00 for a refill pack, on the net they are charging twice that much trying to rip people off the buggers.

yes i have lost 3 stone with it and my doctors were pleased all of a sudden no orlistat chemist said they coluidint get an ingredient i waited 5 months then my chemist phoned me 1 box of orlistat was sent when i went to pick it up chatted with the young lassie did u get i big box no just 84 capsules sent you had prescription in for 5 months confused?to say the least another conclusion i have come too is that there alli advertised on tv is 40 quid a box n rubbish compared to orlistat so they dont want to put it out hoping we buy the alli slimming pills from chemist they only got half the strength why they manage to send 1 box to my chemist then?the manufactor has just been messing us about i think hoping we buy alternative

Hi I have been that fed up with no Orlistat and pain in my knee so bad I have bought some Slimtone plus from tne internet. I know the write up says they lost stones over a very short while but i am so fed up being in so much pain and feeling much, much older than my 44 years I will give it a go.

Will let you know how I get on.

Afternoon everyone, decided to make a few phone calls to pharmacys again today, first place i rang was at a community hospital and they said there is still no date for them being sorted, but they have had a few deliveries recently and still had three boxes left so managed to get some :D

It is perfectly legal to put pressure onto companies by asking questions and expecting answers.

You have pressure put on governments to do things we the electorate want done they are called Pressure Groups.

It is not illegal.

It is not illegal to have pressure groups againts comp-anies and Agencies.

So I dont have to reewrite the whole thing again perhaps you would copy it back to me so that any one who contacts me can be given the information on what is the breal problem with Orlistat and the names and teleephone numbers to contact.
