Not diagnosed pancreatic issues

Can anyone offer advice.

I have been having pain on and off for about 1.5 years , I had a fall around 2.5 years, but didn’t have any immediate problems, about a year ago I had some pain in my left side under ribs again which goes round the bottom of my back, it lasted a week or so then went. In the past I used to drink on Friday and Saturday’s I would not say very heavy but sometimes maybe to much for my body to handle. I had another attack about 3 months ago which calmed down ( I hardly drink at all now, maybe one or two glasses of wine at the weekend. I then had a general for a shoulder op and they told me to take ibuprofen , big mistake the pain was really bad and has not gone away, its worse when I eat, cannot tolerate anything with sugar, fat and defo no alcohol, the pain is constant. They put me on omeprazole wish has helped a little but the pain is still their daily, any food at the moment causes me issues and I have stopped eating. I have had MRI, camera in both ends , test for celiac , blood tests all negative, the doctor is basically saying its in my head, I am tired all the time, I have been to A and E 5 times, they put me on a drip, they test my blood, I feel a little better after the fluids then as soon as I eat again (even basic low fat food) I am in terrible pain, I can control with Tramadol but the issue is it comes back! I am pretty sure I have an issue with my pancreas but as it wont show on any bloods or tests the doctors wont help me, I am trying to help myself but I am not sure how long to go on with the non eating? Any advice would really help me, I am starting to feel very low, only managing work with Tramadol and even that’s a struggle.

Thanks

Is this a gastro doctor telling you it's "all in your head"? Either way, that's an insensitive and inappropriate thing to say to a patient. My advice- get a second opinion. I had the same exact symptoms, even a few falls. I could no longer eat due to the nausea and come to find out, my liver was so inflamed that the primary care physician was shocked and called me an ambulance during the visit. Have you had your liver enzymes checked as well?

Thank you , I'm going back Monday its my GP that's saying that , I have seen all three now , they have done all blood tests , camera up and down , MRI so I would have thought they have done that test to , I'm just so low I'm losing my fight so I just haven't got the energy to argue , I'm going to have a fluid only diet for 4 days to see if that gives my pancreas a rest and then that will give me more proof I hope ! I'm 39 the thought of having this for years is so depressing !

Just water, give your bowel a good rest.

You can maybe juice fruits if you have a juicer.

No shakes or anything except juice or water.

Try taking some epsom salt orally to relax youre biliary ducts.

      Godbless and good luck.

Ok so they know its not the pancreas.

start looking for gallbladder issues, sphincer of oddy disfunction or just plain ibs.

Try a good colon and gallbladder cleanse and hopefully that will dolve your issue.

Hopefully you feel better soon and pleasw keep us updated with your condition.

I really don't think it's ibs as the pain doesn't go away even when I don't eat , it just feels different but I still cannot touch the area , i have tried colon cleanse and so far that hasn't helped , also the medication for ibs does nothing and I don't think the emproxole is working anymore either , it's getting worse daily , then other things you mentioned would they not show all one of the scans , bloods or MRI ?

Try gas pills, or have you ever tought it could posibly be youre colon or a severe ulcer?

This is interesting to me as what you're describing is the textbook description of pancreatic issues. Have they checked your liver too? That's another area that had lain radiation to my back because it was so inflamed that even even they were shocked. This is just bizarre to me.

Checked everything , she basically told me to go vegan , don't drink tap water and hopefully is just crap in my bowel from years , I think they just think I'm crazy !
